DIY PINK GLITTER VANS - MUST WATCH VERY DETAILED BEGINNER FRIENDLY- HOW TO SEAL GLITTER PROPERLY
You will need: Mod Podge Glue (gloss shine), fine glitter, soft brush , craft sponge, multiple size paint brushes, creativity & patience :)

They look amazing! Great job. I've seen others seal it with plain mod podge and not adding the glitter. You might wanna try as it would make the process at the end go faster.

Another hack less messy but more time consuming, use an empty container and pour the mod podge into it then pour the glitter into the mod podge using a 2part mod podge 1 part gliter ratio. Stir real good and then using a paint brush, brush the glitter onto the shoe. It will take three or four coats to get it thick, but every speck of glitter applied to the shoe will have the glue and less likely to fall off and go everywhere if you plain on wearing it.

I saw that technique used a long time ago. Mod Podge is thick & sometimes it dulls the glue when using it to seal the glitter. So I was trying to thin it out to have more sparkle once it dries.

It's a water soluble glue. I wouldn't personally recommend it for shoes but to each their own.

I've never tried it but possibly if it dries clear. You just don't want the glitter to be cloudy & dull.

I had to start back over because it doesn’t take two coats of glitter before the sealant and I noticed to make the sealant thinner because it did not dry clear.

Great question. If worn very often & rough I would assume it would develop a crease at the toe area and begin to crack. To avoid that I'd be gentle , not wear daily or in rain or snow.

Unfortunately you can't wash them. You would just try your best to not get them dirty.

I think it would probably fall off easily being rubber but I haven't tried.

FYI I did rain boots and I instead of modge podge I actually started with the same technique but I watched another video and ended up going with my spray adhesive I use loctite spray adhesive and it literally took one coat compared to the multiple coats of modge podge that I've started with and I sold it with polycrylic you're looking to attach it to rubber there you go good luck:-)
