I'm new to the world of gbbrs, aegs ended up being problematic and boring and I found this video to be very helpful and interesting I appreciate the time you put into this sir keep it up. Maybe go down the same road like nortivich and manufacture some gbbr parts since some aftermarket support can be kinda rough. I'm a owner of a kwa PTS masada since I saw that the we tech msk is trash for the most part but unfortunately for me I didn't find that much parts available for me masada

It's better without the oil. "Green gas" is nothing more than propane with silicone oil added, in order to automate the lubrication of dynamic seals (and allow them to sell it at 10x the price :p). But there's only *one* dynamic seal on the GBBR systems: the oring / cup seal between the nozzle and the bolt carrier / blowback unit. That's really the only one that needs permanent lubrication, as it's subjected to friction and big pressure jumps (1 atmosphere to ~10 atmospheres and back with each shot). All other seals (the ones in the mags) are static and only really work through pressure difference once per mag fill, if you let the mag run completely empty. The issue is that while green gas automates the lubrication of *the* dynamic, it also accumulates on the barrel and bucking, ruining accuracy. Therefore, the smart thing to do is use dry gas and manually lube that seal about once a month with a tiny drop of light silicone oil.

Hi Josef, Can I use propane gas indoor ? Is it too smelly and not good for health ? Any suggestion if using propane gas indoor (or in a room)? There are many type of propane gases on the market. Which brand/type has the higher FPS/Power/compression ? Thank you !

Green gas is also propane. Just with added oil and perfume. So I would say yes you can use it just like green gas indoors but it miiight smell if you use enough in a small room. It is just as safe
@lakecra
@lakecra 2 жыл бұрын
@@mybalz8025 Do you know Propane has a harmful chemical (additive and odorous leaking gas) added to remind users for a propane gas leak? It is called Ethyl Mercaptan. When you inhale it to your respiratory system, it causes to reduce oxygen below safe breathing levels. Breathing of high concentrations may cause dizziness, light-headedness, headache, nausea and loss of co-ordination. Continued inhalation may result in unconsciousness. I know you (most airsofters) use Propane outdoor, and it may reduce the chance of having the above harms and dangers. DO NOT USE PROPANE INDOOR ! Even you have good ventilation, it does not help much for inhaling Ethyl Mercaptan. I hope it helps and gives more details about Propane gas to Propane airsofters ! Good luck !

@@ognjen8964 hmm, well most propane here in the UK comes mixed with butane by a small amount, so id check the pressure that you get from your gas tank, and see if the mags can handle it. I think you can get the pressure limits on the sites/specs hopefully! But personally id give it a go lol, put a drop of silicone oil on the valve before filling, to keep things lubricated :)

Hi, I love the comparison. Detailed and accurate, even has the thermometer. I have a possible problem in my we glock g18c gbb, I shoot using the green gas but even hop up at most it does not go up doing only about 20mts. The lubrication that ends up wetting bb and hop up, avoiding backspin?

Thank you. Too much lube is worse than no lube. Clean the gun and leave a very thin layer on moving parts. Just 1 drop spread by finger. If it doesn't help I would get ML 50 autobot and if this doesn't help then the oressure on the nub is not enough. If the problem persists, it's the gun. Perhaps cracked nozzle or weak hammer spring. Depends how the gun feels while shooting.

that is a comon problem with WE Glock...it is not a lubrication problem,the problem is that the hop up bucking isn't pressed down properly.Change the hop up chamber with a maple leaf and it will be ok.Or try the Ikey ,it goes betwen the bucking and the hop up arm....

Silicon oil is needed for propane. Anyone reading this never run your mags without silicone oil when you use raw propane . You'll damage your o rings pretty quick
@MBKill3rCat
@MBKill3rCat 2 жыл бұрын
On the contrary, don't put silicone oil into your propane... you don't want a slick hop rubber or inner barrel, as it will affect your accuracy, range and general consistency, and that's exactly where green gas is spraying most of that silicone oil. Put a couple drops of silicone oil directly onto your o-rings whenever you take your gun apart to clean and lube it (which you should do frequently, especially with new GBBs), they'll be absolutely fine.
@DiegoRodriguez-th1ho

@@MBKill3rCat sorry kinda late here. So just keep your o ring/valve/rubber lip on the magazine lubricated with very small amount of silicone oil and just run propane dry. How often do you lube these parts, after 5 fills would you say?

Does pure propane damage the internal parts because of higher pressure?
@juleswinnfield3958
@juleswinnfield3958 3 жыл бұрын
As long as your gun doesn’t have plastic internals, you should be completely fine. As long as you mix silicon oil with the propane (there’s videos about how to do that) but if you don’t want to mix it, it’s recommended you generously lube the internals of your gun and seals every time before use if you’re planning to run pure propane without any silicon oil mixed in. With all that being said your gun isn’t going to like shatter or explode, it’s just possible for seals and parts that need lubrication to dry out and wear faster.
