I know it's been a year since anyone posted, but I still think a response is warranted. I have two units. A 1.0 and a 1.5. They both crashed during a power outage two months ago. The 1.0 rebooted itself and continues to mine with out problems. The 1.5 just showed a dead Android on the screen. I got no help from the Bitcoin Forums. But I did find your KZfaq video, and your process brought it back to life. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. -Mark-

Great job! I found running the CMD from an Admin command prompt to be a bit less troublesome under Win10. Over all a solid process and I am seeing more life out of my X1 than I have in the last year it was sitting in my closet ;-)

So Marco and Scienide, I tried and successfully installed the ISO on the X1.5 running windows 10. Make sure you format the SDHC card to ntfs and that you have sufficient space on it. Hope this solves your issues. Otherwise I can't help very much more and I would recommend you refer to the internet further ;)

okay I got the image on the sd card card when it pulls up the first screen it is all in chinesse, japanesse or korean but can't read what it is doing. how long does it take to do the upgrade?

I managed to score 2 of the X-1.5s for $80 and upon updating unknowingly to 1.18 Im having weird error issues that effect one then the other. I hear rolling back to 1.17 solves these issues. Thanks for the tutorial.

Hey, Do you have images of older versions too? Yesterday I had to update my prospero X-1, because I forgot my password, but since it is not working properly. (Unfortunately I do not know what was my older version ...) Thanks!

hello guys i got a x1 and the control board started act funny i could not mine with it so i contacted the company they told me take out the control board and reprogram it so i got the tool to do so from them but when i tried to do it it started to smoke is there anything i can use to control it maybe a pie any help please

Hmm, seems dangerous. Sorry but I can't recommend you try running it. But if you are really set on it, then you can putty in to it to try and see if anything is working.

+The Green Bandit and there's the rub, the official website is no longer up. So those files aren't available there. If you have them, it would be the only chance I have to get my miner running again.

I got a error when trying to install the new firmware. The error is showed in Chines, but it is the gravity error (thanks to google translate) The error is showed in the PCBA test. Do you have a solution for me?

+R de Gier Hello R, thank you for your question. Unfortunately I believe your ASIC's hardware has failed and it is not possible to fix it. Well anyway hope this works out for you.

+R de Gier hi sadly I do not know how to do that. the only way I got help was on forums and countless hours of research. I know this may be disappointing to you but I would recommend trying to use another miner.

Does anyone have V1.18? My miners that are on 1.18 get 125-150 Ghs but the ones that are 1.17 only get 50-7- Ghs

hmmm, tried 3 sd cards, all give me : failed to write MBR ... is the tool working under windows 10?

+scienide77 Sorry for the late answer I've just figured out how not to miss messages anymore :S Well I was thinking maybe you're not running the boot maker as an administrator. But if you are maybe you should scheck that the microSD cards are the right ones. Also there are new lnks available in the description if you need them! Hope you have fixed the problem by now anyways!

Well not really, the miner has been dead in the water .... i suspect the power supply to work as it should, still need to try a replacement power supply ... Thanks for the reply!

hmmmm, it still fails.... I've now tried 3 different systems (2x win10 and 1x win 7) and multiple microsd cards, but everytime it fails with writing MBR failed.

I managed to get it to work.. however the entire prospero has died a couple of days later .... The power supply doesnt show a light when turned on .. if i remove the power supply from the mainboard it does have a green light...
