Hi can I ask you a question, is silk fabric is the same as satin fabric ? Cuz I'm confused I want to buy fabric to made silky dresses hope u answer me 😊

hi! satin and silk have a very similar texture and look. They are both the shiny slippery material. However, silk is typically more expensive and is spun from actual silk thread. The word satin is not technically a fabric itself, but a type of weave that makes the fabric. Most of the time if you hear that something is made of satin it is typically made out of polyester, but more expensive satin fabrics can be made out of silk. So in a sense, they will give you the same look one will just be cheaper than the other. Typically if you go to a general fabric store and ask for satin fabric you'll get the polyester version because it is more accessible to the general public but they do have the same look! Sorry for the long message but I hope this helps as I see no one responded yet!
