I can see a summer cookout (bar-b-que ) book... Put in recipes that the family loves to share when getting together at a family gathering.. And put a page in for a photo or two of the family members between each grouping. I cherish a Thanksgiving book with pictures and recipes for our family .. at first it was for the recipes BUT when the youngest grandson died after that holiday ( he was 10) that book means even more now .. to us all.

Maymay, this is incredible! I absolutely love everything about this recipe book! You did a fabulous job! That apron! So clever! I cannot wait to make them for gifts and myself. I'm going to need a picnic version for Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and such, and definitely Easter and Christmas versions. Thank you for your excellent tutorial. ❤

I think this is going to be the gift for my granddaughter in love.... But I won't make it Christmas themed so she can use it all year... Great little project... I am also going to make them one for the Baby's First Year calendar as they are expecting my great grandson in November !!! Thanks Maymay !!!

Great idea for the apron. If you use wood printed paper you could make a cutting board too just don't put the holes and the pockets.

Love this! What a perfect gift! I have several older grandchildren who are going to college or graduating from college and starting out on their own. They would love a book with our traditional family recipes and some easy comfort food recipes. Perfect gift for them❤️

This would be a great wedding gift for newlyweds, and put write in some recipes and then decorate it with like new beginnings stickers or the home paper you showed.

I’ve just watched this for the second time. I’m thinking about making a Christmas for favorite Christmas recipes for my daughter and especially for my Grandaughter who just got engaged. I may make a second one with my Mom’s recipes. I may have to check with my brothers for ideas. ( I may have to make several copies of this one.)

I really want to make these for my two boys that are off at college in their own places. They are always calling me and asking me how to make their favorite foods from growing up. I could decorate them in their college logos or maybe something to do with their favorite hobbies or sports. So many possibilities!! ❤️

This is a great project! I'm thinking of making some for my mom and her siblings with my grandmother's recipes so they'll all have their own copies. This would also make a great album for my daughter's graduation. I could put in copies of her school pictures, report cards and other things she's gotten through her school years. Endless possibilities! Tfs 😊

How cute is your MacGyver-ed apron! I love that you used your imagination & what you had to make the apron! I'm making a !ist of people who would love one! Oh, I feel the itch to make these for the daughters, daughters n law and grand daughter! Last Christmas, I made the notebook recipe books for all of them like the one you made a few years ago. This would be 10 times simpler to make. I need to decide if this one is too much alike .

This is really cool! I think I'm going to make one with my grandma's recipes. I've typed out all hers from her recipe box and made copies of some with her handwriting. It would be a fun way to display them. Thanks for the great idea!

I was thinking the same thing. One of my Mim, Grandma, and Great grandma (one showcasing each).. my great grandma was born in 1899 my grandma was 1918... my mom is still here... but... the recioes of my great grandma are the Most Interesting. She was a Real homesteader

What a special gift! You could also make it " Special Recipes from Mom's Kitchen" (or Grandma's Kitchen) --a collection of your favorites that they made as you were growing up. Gift it to yourself, or a sibling or cousin. Thanks, MayMay!

Oh my gosh this is so adorable--love it! I’d like to do one for my regular recipes. I have some from my grandmothers and my stepmother-a great way to preserve them. I'm trying to figure out a way to decorate a small 3 ring binder so I can make me a recipe book just for my Instant Pot recipes. Can you please do a video on this please just to give me some ideas? When we have a new bride in the family, I make a bridal recipe book. I have always looked for actual recipe books to do that in....however after seeing how easy this is.....this might end up being my "go to" base for displaying photos alongside the recipes. When I make a book, I ask for recipes from family members along with their bridal photos. If they are not married, then I ask for a bridesmaid/prom photo. I have them give some marital advice and cleaning tips/tricks. Every person has a page dedicated to their special recipe/wedding photo/tips/advice. It has been a family hit at bridal showers.

I am absolutely going to make this for my sisters' for Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is our big family holiday. I'm the oldest of 8 daughters and we lost our mom 2 years ago this fall. I have all the family recipe books from her and grandma, so I'll be reproducing some in their original handwriting to include in here, along with a bunch of blanks for them to add their own. Very likely that I will make them for the nieces, also, so my sister's can add their own family recipes to it to start them off!

This is so awesome. I love this, and your calendar, but I do have a question. I am the worst at tearing my papers that have holes punched in them, so I like to use eyelets to prevent that happening on things I may handle a lot. The problem is, I can't find the binder rings that will fit through the eyelets that are big enough. Any chance you can point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance. Again, love both of these projects. Thank you SO much for all you do for us. 💗💗💗

Idea what about putting the recipe pages on the smaller "off cuts" and the larger instructions on the "bigger sheets" this would give you more room for notes. Just an idea it maybe good or bad

Very cute project (especially the apron)...very useful, too! I just got an Instant Pot, so as I find favorites, they will go in here. The additional room on the recipe cards will be used for notes on timing, etc. I will also want nutritional info (as I had bariatric surgery a few months ago), so I will either create a "nutritional info" card to glue on, or write it in the blank parts. A few questions: 1) If I need more than one page for instructions for any recipe, I guess I would just paper clip it on to the card? Or could I make the instruction side a pocket to put in all pages for instructions? 2) Could you put some ribbons on the rings between the front and back pages to decorate those? Will it cause any problems? 3) Do you think the divider pages are thick enough? Maybe use chipboard for them? 4) Why didn't you include a "beverages" stamp in your set? Just curious. Your thoughts and feedback will be appreciated! Thanks for all of your hard work and wonderful projects! Take care, Leslie

I love this too Maymay, it turned out so cute! Yep, I can see one of these for different times of the year. Love, love, love. I would like to do one for Christmas recipes and for summer recipes maybe. Or one for special family recipes to pass down would be great. These would be great for a door prize for a family reunion. So many things these could be used for with all kinds of recipes. I loved Vinnie's idea of one for Vinnie's Vittles. Hugs, Brenda
