Little late to comment heat the conduit up with a torch. If you hold it far enough away and heat slow it will not blacken the pipe. It turns like rubber and you can shape it any way you want. We do this all the time in retro electrical work all the time.

Make your life easier. Heat the sand, pour into pipe, wait 5 minutes. Pipe will move like a rubber band. No kinking.

I am about to make these. How would you recommend heating up the sand, and how hot do you need it to work?

@@christopherkenney3581 put it in a disposable pan and put it on your bbq. i bet 350 would do it. 20 maybe 30 minutes?

When fishing with a Sage it’s smart to have extras as all mine break and their warranty sucks, takes moneys, and takes tons of times. Try any other brand. Don’t waste thousands

This is great. Thanks for the insight. Looking at doing this on our raft. Can I ask why you did the bend at the front instead of just cutting them off?

Didn’t want the rod tips sticking out. They would get caught on line when casting up front and probably busted off when I bang off a rock lol
