DIY'S SHABBY FRENCH BOXES USING CARDBOARD BOXES! TRASH TO TREASURE RECIPE BOX & PAPER FLOWERS (132)

In this video I upcycle and makeover 3 cardboard boxes into shabby chic french country decor pieces and make over a vintage recipe box I purchased at a yard sale for $1! I also show how to make paper flowers/rosettes to embellish the shabby chic boxes. Making the shabby boxes is super easy and very budget friendly! The recipe box now has an elegant French Country style that can used to store recipes and I also show how to make shabby index cards using scrapbook paper. I stage all these pieces showing the many ways these pieces can dress up any space in your home and bring out that French Country Shabby Farmhouse flare! Teresa thank you for the cardboard box project! I'm new and I started back at the beginning watching all your videos in order. When I get our pup's Chewy Order they always cover the canned food cases with these wonderful appro 9" by 12" by 4" tall heavy cardboard boxes. I had already been using them to toss the mail in, or to keep computer paper Recipes I've printed off, or sometimes I'll dump the silverware into one coming out of the dishwasher to sort through it and put it away. I would have never though to pretty those boxes up without you! Now they are all chalk painted, and trimmed with messy bows, and some book roses, and bedazzle. I had fun searching for the right mail, recipes and silverware graphics to print for each box too. Fun trash to treasure project. Thank you!

I have seen crafters decorate boxes but never full size cardboard boxes. So fitting for you since you are always thinking "outside" of the box! Once again everythere was gorgeous!

Seriously- nobody can makeover a cardboard box like you can!!! I won't be looking at my boxes the same way now!!! I have some of the Fab fit fun boxes that are so sturdy so will gives those a try!!!!🌹

I really enjoy your videos.You are so inspiring. I like the way you upcylcle things you have like the cardboard boxes. I have a lot of boxes where I have ordered things. Painting them then putting a stencil on them I love it. I like making the chopstick flowers and putting on them. I am going to use some printable son some to.

lol, Today I have been decorating cardboard boxes to use in my craft room I am trying to organize with a pretty affect. Great minds think alike! I love that recipe box, it will be a special place to put Grandmother's recipes. I've been working on a recipe book to give my grandchildren but I know it would be more special it they were hand written. And I'm proud that you have learned how to do the voiceovers, I am sure it will save you time. Enjoy your life!

Oh My goodness gracious you are so creative!! You had me at the boxes and the rest got me to hit the subscribe button. What you have made out of boxes, paint, wood, paper and glue is stunningly beautiful and so shabby chic. I am so excited to do the same thing with my boxes that I have for my craft room storage shelves and my bedroom. They will be just perfect and not cost anything. I love your sense of style and your accent. It is very similar to my area of North Carolina. I don't have creative instincts so I rely on crafters like you and many others to give me ideas. I painted an empty Bolero hand soap dispenser I got a Dollar Tree and it turned out beautiful. It had a pretty label and I knew I wanted to do something with it so thanks for that video the other day. Also wanted to mention I have the same scrapbook paper you used in this video.

Love it all! We used to do this to recipe dividers back when they came out with craft paper!! So I truly appreciate you bringing it back! Just curious, before you repaint anything, do you check to see if it’s valued more, or does it bother you?! I just about started during Christmas tearing out some Encyclopedia pages in sets I had, and some voice told me to check the value!! Found out they’re both 1,000, plus to resale!! Awe, thank you, Shannon! Sure appreciate your sweet note. I do check the value of many of my pieces. I actually think it’s fun to research the older items and get their history and value. You never know when you may score or have hidden away that “gold nugget”! That same recipe box was on Etsy for $20-25. So glad you enjoyed the video.
