I love how you like the Oatey product. Don't know if you have the opportunity to read about them but they're a family-owned business. I called on a Newark California facility starting 40 years ago. I worked for trucking companies in the national and regional sales. My job was primarily to bring on companies like Oatey to the trucking company I worked for. Anyway I knew a Tom Oatey their first products he told me were just the solvents. Over there years they've acquired many other great companies. They're like you, first class. Amazing how they acquire those companies and still keep that family brand and quality. When I shop and need that kind of item it's ALWAYS Oatey.

Hi Chuck. Have you ever considered offering a service for finding a bus and doing a rough in to the DIYers standard? I'm a former homebuilder and I've been watching a few of your videos. Interesting. I've got the feeling that the vast number of people considering a bus are totally incapable of doing any mechanicals and are mainly interested in building interior structures, floor plan, bedroom, shower, cabinets, floor etc. Heaven knows they probably aren't capable but at least it won't rot or burn down with them in it. Maybe just price based on how much they want you to do. Maybe even let them buy their own bus.

ABS is for low pressure outputs( drainage) PVC is high pressure, like city mains or high pressure pumps. PVC is less flexible & more brittle.

Plumbing. Now there's something I can do. I have two left hands when it comes to mechanicals, but plumbing and electrical I can do. Just make sure your shower pan isn't made of 410 stainless, or the brass fitting will cause corrosion (I'm sure you checked). Have a great week! ~Maarten

Great videos, Chuck! If I may, I know you dislike silicone but there are two types; bathtub silicone and RTV silicone. Bathtub silicone is a bitch to remove if you ever need to whereas RTV or Room Temperature Vulcanizing silicone is way better. You put a layer on each part and let it set for a while then tighten. In a RV, with all the vibration, plumbers putty will fail especially when it freezes and gets vibrated. I quit using Plumbers Putty even in my kitchen sinks because it will always fail over time. RTV has been the fix I needed. Best wishes!

Maybe a "normally closed" check valve between the shower pan and the tank for odors if your gizmo doesn't work ? (Where a p-trap would be placed on a conventional house installation)

Hey chuck, a little safety tip: never lean over a spinning sandpaper wheel, those get grabby in a hurry and its all bad. love the vids, keep em comin.

Do you not have a video on cabinet builds? I watched the video where you react to a bus build and mentioned how they built their cabinets on top of the lvp and you said that was against code. Almost every build video I've watched has been like that though. Are you saying you should build the cabinets directly onto your plywood floor and then install your flooring around it?
