This was a process and a half but honestly, couldn’t have done it without my dad. This was a MAJOR learning lesson for me and I’m happy I get to share my dad and I’s first room transformation together since I was his power tool assistant from 5-16 years old. Thank you to Home Depot for sponsoring this makeover - I am completely in awe that I am able to give back to my parent’s by making over the bathroom that shared all the awkward high school years xx.

Or "we ran into so many issues we both didn't expect but he knew how to handle and it was his house so I let him do that on his own time since I had a lot of other campaigns to handle as a one woman show and he so graciously took it upon himself to handle, teach and guide me versus adding to my plate that I wasn't expecting was going to be so full."

Take a second to dive into my channel a bit more before seeing me being assisted by the man who inspired me to do what I do today in a project I wasn't expecting things to pop up I didn't already know and wanted to learn/teach from him to you as I grew up. Plenty of other KZfaqr's who take full credit for everything that they don't do themselves. I didn't do everything and that isn't always my intention when my dad who taught me everything still needs to guide me through it - I'll do it real time with the humans who want to be alongside that. I don't do it for humans like you.

Great job. Electricians tip, when hooking up a light or anything for that matter, ground first, neutral second, hot last. When disconnecting hot first, neutral second, ground last. If for whatever reason the hot became hot before your neutral, your neutral will be hot carrying amperage not voltage. Dangerous. A neutral hit hurts exponentially more than a hot hit at 120v or 110v in the states

I love how grateful you are to work with your dad. I used to go out "shotgunning" (I'd just ride along with him for work and repair jobs- I was his shotgun) with my dad all the time when I was younger. I loved working alongside him, watching all of what he could do and learning from him. He passed when I was 17, so watching this brought those memories back. My fiance and I own a house now, and I wish I had my dad to help us with repairs and renovations. It warms my heart to watch another girl do something so wonderful with her dad. Cheers, friend. And great job on the bathroom! P.S. We're a Home Depot family, too. Though, Lowes is better for certain tools.

He taught me how to do so many things because he always said "You're not going to have to depend on anyone else to do it for you". I'm so glad that we had that time together.

Living to DIY with Rachel Metz that’s what I thought it was for- to reflect off the ceiling. Probably looks better when lights are on. It’s just one of those funny customs Americans are used to seeing.... I have lights that can go either way and when I first saw it I thought they belonged lights down but now I’m used to it and it doesn’t look funny to me anymore. The lights reflect off the ceiling well and bring more light. To each their own eh

I like that you point out organizing the under the counter items. This video shows that when a makeover is done that you run into bumps and yields. I think some people just want to makeover a room and not deal with the behind the scenes issues like the drywall. I personally would have made the floating shelves double that thickness just to balance the the floating vanity. I would have chosen a different light fixture and definitely would have sewn the shower curtain. Like I said my personal preference. I like that your dad was able to show you things you didn’t know. Even though you hate tiling at least now you know what to do and maybe can tackle it again one day. Hint: always choose large tiles. Can you imagine small ones. Ugh. The bathroom is beautiful!!! ✌🏽❤️✊🏽

Your relationship with your dad is so precious and sweet. I have seen a lot of your videos, so I know you got skills! You took the time to be humble and admit your miscalculations and leaned on your dad for help because that's what we as children do sometimes! They love extending a helping hand, and it strengthens the relationship between parent and child. We all have so much to learn no matter how grown we are! I don't know why people took that humility as a perfect time to put you down. Keep rockin' it girl! 💪 These people don't have healthy parent/child relationships and it shows 😬

I think this is a great video for a few reasons. I wish I could do things like this with my dad, you guys work great together. I love what you Did with the sink, I really want to try that idea...I was thinking before of getting a cabinet so as to have some kind of area around the pedestal. I really enjoyed this so thanks to you and your dad for sharing this. Carrie. Ps: I’m subbing and I think Ill watch your ideas until I fall asleep, then take you with me to the dentist in the morning. Thanks Again Carrie

I loved the remodel!!!! I would have loved to seen the floating vanity painted black. Beautiful job!!! You're both so blessed to have each other💕

This is adorable! It feels SO GOOD to help you're parents. I do it to see the joy on my mom's face. Shes such a good mom & grandma she deserves to be spoiled by us kids. Our dad left her for a women who was long time friends with our family & when he left he took everything she had to completely start all over with nothing..but we've helped her rebuild her life so we can see her happy again & she is ❤ this was very sweet of you

If you're happy, that's all that matters..It's nice that you helped your dad and you did a great job with the finishing touches... Aa a Remodeling contractor for 30 years in the philly area, I've done MANY small bathroom remodels...I'm on two now, They take longer than you think and cost double what you thought they would...I've never done the same bathroom twice...
