Been living with blown tweeters in my '95 Stealth RT/TT for years because I thought I had to pull the dash to change them. Little did I know. Thanks to this video I'm about to put the new speakers in as soon as the epoxy finishes hardening (my 2nd gen speakers even have the removable wire harness so it was that much easier). So thanks for allowing me to turn my fader back towards the middle again :)

The door speakers are easier to modify/drill new holes for by removing the plastic pan, its simply the 4 screws around the outside! Its still easy with it in the car, but that makes it slightly easier with 4 screws :)

Orrrrf you can just buy Adapters. Id swear people just buy these cars to hack up the wires and mindlessly drill through and cut everything to pieces. An unadulterated car must be worth a fortune at the rate these machines are being hacked apart

Thanks for the video. Also have a white 92 TT, original owner, that I replaced the front speakers on a while back. My original speakers looked as bad as your did. Opening the door up you realize that there was little to no weather proofing for them from the factory.

@kraftingkars
@kraftingkars Жыл бұрын
Much better than factory! But I would highlyyyyyy recommend a small sub and a nice head unit. If you send too much low frequency to the door speakers and rear speakers, they are just gonna distort and rattle. Depends on what kinda music you listen too I guess.

How did you amp the 6 speaker system? I bought the same dash speakers you did and am trying to decide how to do my setup. Did you use the head unit to power the small dash speakers and then a amp for the 4 larger speakers? Or did you use a 6 channel external amp?
@kraftingkars

I didn't use any external amps. Just the head has a built-in amplifier (24 watts RMS/50 peak x 4 channels)
