In this video we create an easy Do It Yourself Stove Cover/Noodle Board that you can make over the weekend. You can decorate yours any way you'd like, with decals, paint, or laser engraving such as this one.

I have been looking for a stove top to build. Yours is perfect, even the saying is perfect. Thanks for your time.

I would recommend some commentary and leave the music for your opening & closing of the video, nice build !

Thanks! I've been thinking of doing more commentary, only have it in 1 video so far. Unfortunately for me I have a face for radio and a voice for print, haha. Maybe I'll reach out to Morgan Freeman and see if he is free, if not maybe I'll start small and see how it goes. Thanks again for the suggestion, anything I can do to improve the content.

Great build and I could actually clearly see the steps you did even without the commentary. Question...what stain and what sealant did you use when finishing the look of this stove cover? Great job...keep up the good work!

For this build the customer chose Minwax Red Mahogany, and we then used Minwax Semi-Gloss to finish it up. Depending on some woods and finishes we will also do a wet sand and then another light coat.

Thanks! I'm using the XTool D1 20w with the extension kit.

Nice video. Would you be able to tell me the drag chain you used? I have an X tool and extension coming and was wondering. Thanks!

No problem, this is the one I used here and just used some L brackets from the hardware store. But will probably make some adjustments in the near future. I went a bit wider so I could I could include all the cables and the air assist hose. a.co/d/ipToQqe

@@redbeardesigns awesome. Thanks. And it was long enough with the extension kit on the x tool?
@redbeardesigns Жыл бұрын
Hey, sorry forgot to mention I ordered 2 of them and combined them to make it long enough, and still have plenty of extra links left over if I ever wanted to make a horizontal one to the laser head itself.

Did you restain after the xtool? Or how did you get them black-ish like that?
@redbeardesigns8 ай бұрын
The clear coat actually darkened all the areas up, so I didn't have to restain anything in the end.

@@thesystetemisfucked1686 No worries. Do you mean the computer I am using? It's just a basic Dell laptop, and the software to control the laser is called LightBurn.
