Definitely a good choice to use oak for the frames. They are such a lovely colour.

These came out very nice! I like the size ratio of the squares in the frames. Of course it is a matter of opinion.

Hi Louise they look great but I agree that the squares in the middle need to be a bit bigger. So glad you went for the oak. I agree the colour is perfect !!!! xx

You could have added a bit of water to the filler to make it a little easier to work with esp with the brush stippling process but seith way, I love the way it turned out. Great, simple, beautiful pieces.
