DIY textured canvas art - step by step tutorial for beginners

I just moved into a new apartment and need to fill some walls so decided to pick up the paint brush myself. Here's a step-by-step tutorial on how I made these large canvas! All products cost me less than $100! ❤️ xo, enjoy!

Yes, I agree. However, I would’ve added a few black and gold streaks though out the canvas to give it more color.

Stunning! I’ve tried a similar project with spackling plaster but the plaster cracked with the flexible tension of the canvas. What’s your secret?

new sub and a question: i saw that you have left over spackle, can you still use those leftover in the future?

Wet spackle like this will dry out so best to use as soon as you can. You can buy powdered which is cheaper & more economical because you just mix up want you need. For more texture, you can also use joint compound which can be bought wet or dry.
