. Algun día quiero hacer una

Like. But I think I'd rather use a hand saw for some of those cuts. 🤔

Great project, I'm watching and looking forward to the next parts. What is the lifespan of such a wooden structure in off-road terrain, did you have a problem with stiffness during your first project?
@TruckHomeSwitzerland11 ай бұрын
Hey thanks! i have never done any crazy offroad besides some bumpy gravel roads or a steep bank to get to a spot. i don't see a problem in stiffness.. there are plenty of wooden camper builds out there (pretty similar to mine) and seem to do the job.

Im curious why you didn't use nails ? Nails are much more resistant to shearing, which happen alot in a moving camper

Nice job ? did you use marine ply ? Or just standard ply?

Im curious aswell, how has it held up against torsion while driving, how did you mount to the deck, and how is it weather sealed?
@TruckHomeSwitzerland9 ай бұрын
i never had any flex/torsion issues with my last diy campers, this one is built even stronger. its tied down to the frame by 4 ratched straps (see in part4). the complete camper is wrapped in 2 layers of fiberglas.

Gruss

What's the total weight of the camper so far with framing and plywood?
@TruckHomeSwitzerland9 ай бұрын
hey. around 500kg dry, this is with 6 windows, 350w solar, fridge, toilet, bed and electrics. i assume less than 400kg only framing, plywood and fiberglass.

Did you glue and screw ply on? or glue and nail ply on? thanks.
