The torque depend the size of the bolt.mostly at this size 6mm around 10 to 12 nm or hand tight

15:30 wow he’s really struggling to get them screws in (looks like using PH2 driver and should have used a PH3 instead) also the 280l new version Don’t use the plastic as they will damage the battery, use full pice of foam on the battery only.

I'd never use a powered screwdriver or drill to start off a small screw or bolt. You are asking for trouble if you strip the thread. Always start by hand and only use a powered tool if the thread is more than 50mm or 2inches.

Lifepo4 batteries do not care. Truly awesome battery tech. Getting the compression right is the biggest hurdle. Compression to stop the cells from swelling prematurely

I have read that some people balance the cells before building the battery. Is this necessary? Do the cells not come fairly balanced?

Balance the cell before building battery is necessary and required. For brand new Grade A cells, they come balanced. but who knows, if condition permits, you never too careful to double-check.

@@SeplosTechnology Can't we rely on the active balancer you now provide with your BMS v3 (to make things properly, by using a lab power supply) ? Or do you anyway recommend an external balance before, anyway ?

Fix the aluminum bar with M6 flange nuts. Set the torque index of the electric screwdriver to 10nm.
