About:
Jason and Lorraine. In 2016 we sold most of our belongings and left the city in southern California to start a small homestead in the mountains of North Carolina. We left the city in search for a more minimal and intentional life. We became passionate about growing our own food and knowing what exactly is in our food after I (Jason) became diagnosed with cancer. Now 8 years in remission we as a family are on a journey to live our passions.
We document our life on KZfaq videos to inspire others to get out of their comfort zone and not be afraid of change. We started our own online general store where we have available the things we make and use in real life. Thank you for following us on this incredible life changing journey!

Excellently done. Save water, save money. Waste not want not. You may want to put some 12x12x1 concrete blocks under the legs. Make it last longer and keep the legs from sinking in the dirt. Once full will be 500lbs.

That is pretty cool. I’m using a plastic garbage can (not being used for garbage) to collect rain water. I then fill up empty 1 gallon water jugs. When I don’t have any rain I use the gallons to water my garden. But this idea would improve what I have and give me more water to collect 👍👍Have a blessed day 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️👩🏻‍🌾🌧️🌧️

Love the double barrel idea and I have never seen that strapping you used. I'm going to have to keep my eyes out for that, very handy. One suggestion. Get some bricks or pavers or something similar under the legs where they touch the soil. Not only will they help reduce their chances of sinking into the dirt but the legs will last longer. No point in rebuilding this tower any sooner than necessary. Have a great day. Oh,and if the ram pump doesn't work well enough consider a windmill and tall water tower.😃

I know you don’t live here anymore, but for the sake of future wood projects, there is a 1 gallon can of non-toxic wood sealant that you can paint on to outdoor wood projects that helps preserve the life of your wood. It’s basically watered down Elmer’s glue but it is non-toxic so I use it on things like my chic Shaw. I add a new coat each season and It helps fight off the elements. It’s called Garden -Seal.. Just a heads up.
