DIY Whelping Box

Күн бұрынPretty easy whelping box, made with cheap materials if you’re not a breeder and this a one time thing like us. We got the decorations from dollar tree and the sticks + reusable pee pads from amazon.

What are the four sticks on the edges for?

They help prevent the little ones from accidently getting stuck between mommy and the box, I think.

They help the puppies to get some air so they don’t suffocate and so the mom doesn’t squeeze them too

Just a tip the balls on the box,the dogs can choke on them and even the puppy’s but you did do right with the sticks so the puppy’s get some air

100% wrong way of doing this. If you can't afford a few buck to build it right than you can't afford the extra foor you need to feed the mother. Buy a $5 tote, cut a hole in the side, line the sides with pool noodles. You can make it for under $10.
