This is the longest video I've ever made, Full build start to finish. Kit fabrication, custom front lip, adapting the rear spoiler, exhaust, wheels and tires, suspension, interior, paint, livery, test driving, and even the trip to show it to my uncle who inspired this build. I hope this video entertains and motivates you to build what's in your head. This car came out awesome and is a blast to drive. This was amazing! This video hit close to home on many levels. I'm a big SL500 fan, and I'm doing a rolling restoration on one now. You put a lot of work into that car making it completely one of a kind. And the fact that you're auctioning it off and donating the proceeds to a great cause is a very selfless act. I lost my mother to ALS and it's one of the most horrible diseases out there. Much love to you and your family, as well as your uncle's.

I am gonna hate on this First, I admire the dedication for you bringing awareness to your cause, it takes a real man to pull this off The SL is the most perfect car. It just need some AMG rims and call it good. You figured out a way to turn a SL into a Nissan 240 sx held together with zip ties and painted by a guy that owes you money. You should focus your energy on building cars the people actually aspire to own. I am talking Bucket list type of cars. Ask your self, Will your creations hold the test of times or will it be traded again for another project and that SL will find itself in the junkyard and a few years? If that’s the case, than you are destroying and not creating.

Great! And so a lot of new stuff to learn. Always wanted to try doing wide body and bumpers for some rides but it never went further than just a design. Maybe gonna find me some customer this summer.

Oh BTW there is that same self cuting tape by that brand that is called a bridge tape or somehow like that. Base material is wider so you put it along the gap and when your vinyl is on you don't need a scalpel.

Its only bad to cut springs that change in size. If its the same width all the way down its fine. Back in the day I had friends who rode on cut springs for YEARS and never had an issue.

we pretty much use the exact same techniques. Id be interested to see how it holds up specifically the widebody to see if there's any cracks that form over time. Great job showing the whole process and detailed explanations.

Again, just massively lacking attention to detail. Good effort as always, but it’s so disappointing to see the amount of corners cut to just throw it together rather than just taking the extra time to make things fit properly.

@@PK519 we'll see my friend. comments like yours don't really last the test of time. I saw a bunch of comments like these for the widebody audi wagon build he gave away a few years ago. that car is still running strong and the kit is still on it the current owner posts about it on facebook groups.

@@PK519 you’re right it will last as a testament of how wrong you are! There is no (duct tape) on this car and if you paid close enough attention to the series of videos you would have heard him say and seen him take the screws out as he bonded the kit to the car!!! Also from what @dangerdan04 said the Audi is still going with the same body kit that was made. The Mr2 and Datsun wagon are still out there as well!! Plus it would be interesting to see you make your own kit and see how it turns out!
