Good video. I just saw a video the other day where a guy put the access to the fire on the side of the oven.

Thats not a bad idea. How did he provide access? Was it just an opening or like another fire box? Thanks for checking my video out, mean a lot!

Since pavers are not meant for that intense heat. How many times have you used it before the pavers started to crack. Cheap to replace cracked ones but just curious?
@bakersbuilds Жыл бұрын
@@kimdavidson2810 the only one that has a small crack is the bottom one used for the base. It does affect performance of the oven so I havent replaced it. Ive used it a dozens times. I was a bit suprised more didnt crack.

Good idea on removing 2 for ventilation

Thanks! So far its been working good. The vent holes also allow for easier ash cleanout.

did you have any problems with the heat cracking the bricks or slabs over time?
@bakersbuilds15 күн бұрын
@@DjJDtech so far to date I have not. Only bottom has a frew surface cracks, nothing the jeporidizes structure. I might make an update video soon if you think it would be useful.

@@bakersbuilds yeah would be good to see how you are getting on with it. Did you try cooking your own dough on it? Planning on making my own one towards the end of the summer once I've got my holiday out the way and hopefully have some spare cash to buy a few bricks and slabs
@bakersbuilds12 күн бұрын
Yes, i did try it with my own dough. I found i had to use parchment paper because i do not have a pizza peel. So it was abit tricky to slid it in and out.

Isn’t this like toxic and can’t you not heat concrete? I want to build one but I’ve heard you have to use a true stone slab and food grade brick?
@bakersbuilds7 ай бұрын
I let it heat for a while after I built it to cook off anything in or on the bricks. I also dont cook on this daily so Im not too worried. It is something to consider though!
