Great work. Would love to see how you applied the finish. is it epoxy?

Thanks. The finish is Total Boat Gleam 2.0 Marine Spar Varnish Gloss. I used Total Boat epoxy resin to fill the voids. Part 2 will show the finishing process. The video won’t contain all the details that many people would find boring, like the tons of sanding involved, but if after watching it you want more detail let me know.

How could it be dry enough? Looks cool though

@MrThenry1988 Great question. That’s been my biggest concern. I warned my buddy (for whom I made the bench) about the issues that could arise as it dries. Told him it could need to be completely refinished. He didn’t want to wait years for it to dry out. The other day (almost 2 years after I made it) he sent pics and it inexplicably still looks exactly the same.

Because you have completely sealed it all around I don’t think you will have many issues as any drying will be slowed right down
