Think breaking power to the positive lead instead of the ground wire is better practice.

Thanks for watching, negative is the cable you want to remove if you’re disconnecting electrical power without having this switch installed. 👍

How did you manage to fit the waverunners 5/16 terminal onto the switches 3/8 bolt. What is the name for that adapter plate you used?

Maybe not necessary but since your connections are more prone to getting wet I would add some dielectric grease on your connection ends, just a thought sir 👍😁

Does it help if you install a battery switch for the positive and one for the negative?

switch worked on my bass boat motor but when I added accessory switches to it, everything including main motor started working even in off switch position

Thanks for watching, that’s odd. Any update? It’s possible that the wiring of the added accessory switch is wired in a way that’s feeding constant live power to battery switch.

I think that's what's happening. Had Lowrance electronics installed two years ago and have gone through three starting batteries. I've just disconnected all negative wires when not in use now. It doesn't take long since I open up back compartment to recharge trolling motor batteries after every trip anyway

@@dannyweeks4970 We appreciate the follow up, and we agree. It’s likely you have a live feed or parasitic draw on your system. Are all of your electrical connections dry and free of any moisture? That can cause an immediate parasitic draw on your electrical system which drains your battery very quickly, when system is off.

Save your money. The charging systems on these skis won't actually charge any battery...they do good to just maintain the current level. Money better spent on a larger (30-34 amp) battery and plan on using a tender between uses.
