about 30-45 seconds safely, I believe it can take up to a minute. anything longer can overheat the exhaust/surroundings. the switch will screech when exhaust temps exceed limits.

this is a term more than a product. the machines go through a break in phase for the first 10 hours called a "break in period." during this period the oil is considered "break in oil." after the break in period, you're supposed to do an oil change because of the potentiality of some cast metal being in the pan do to slight manufacturing flaws. any new product or recent rebuild goes through this. wanted to clarify what I meant

really depends if it needs plugs. you can do 25-50 hours or just wait until they burn out. I normally do plugs every 25 hours and have spares.

Also, can I just use a 8mm socket for the oil filter?

E10 female spline is an 8mm bolt, roughly fits about a T40/T45 in torx male (star)

correct, but few seconds doesn't matter. the boat has a closed cooling system. the only problem is running over 20 seconds / long enough for the exhaust housing to heat up. it will set an alarm if the housing / waterbox gets too hot. keep in mind, this is not a traditional boat.

thanks for watching! common myth but I explain it here but these motors have closed cooling system. you can start and run these machines for about 20 seconds outside the water depending on how hot it is outside without water flow. since its plastic hull, the heat can actually melt the machine due to the waterbox not being cooled, but that takes 30+ seconds. traditionally speaking you can't run boats out of the water because of the impeller being rubber that cools the motor can disintegrate after a few seconds. these do not have that problem.

true, you can do a complete flush but I didn't feel it necessary. now if the break-in oil had any flakes I would have definitely flushed it a few times!
