On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, Dizzy’s Club proudly presented an all-star intergenerational ensemble performing in celebration of electrifying saxophone legend, Eddie Harris. An artist whose music consistently receives new treatment from diverse artists, including Jamiroquai, Macy Gray, and Martin Scorsese, Harris embraced countless styles of music, collaborated with distinct leaders, and released record hits, including “Freedom Jazz Dance,” “Listen Here,” and “Cold Duck Time.”
Led by award-winning bassist and composer Rufus Reid, the one-night event features piano performances by Eddie Harris' granddaughter, Nia Harris, and vocals by his daughter, Yvonne Harris, included in this tribute and spotlights funk, soul, blues, and Harris’ vast vocabulary.
