When DJ and Chowder attempt to warn Jenny about the house, Jenny mocks them by asking them if they are mentally challenged before Constance attacks her. It's implied through dialogue (which was spoken in front of the house) that DJ and Chowder are social outcasts at their school, and, as we get to see later on, Constance used to be a side show freak who was constantly mocked by others. Perhaps Constance specifically decided to attack Jenny when she insulted the boys in a rare moment of pity and understanding towards her two attempted victims?

You know even if the writers didn’t plan or consider that to be the case and this attack was meant to happen no matter what she said, they could easily take credit for that and we would believe them, because like you said that’s a really good theory.

I wish that Zee saw what the house was doing. After the house/Constance goes back to normal, I can see Zee just standing there in shock. It would've been interesting to see Zee help out in this movie. I know see DJ, Chowder, and Jenny were enough as a good trio, but I think it would've created an interesting character arc for Zee. Having her help them stop the house and see if she can find Bones in the house. In addition, it would help her become more responsible with keeping DJ safe. And when the parents come home at the end, they would ask "So, did you two have fun while we were gone?" And Zee look at DJ, both of them smiling at each other. Zee wraps her arm around DJ and one of them says "You could say that."
