What bothers me is that kpop stans continue to drive this “western validation” insult into the ground. It was old when exols coined it in 2017 to shame BTS’s 2017 BBMA win and it’s old now. It’s racist and xenophobic. Jungkook has said HIMSELF that he enjoys western pop and wants to drop music like that. This is not news to ANYONE. He is a solidified artist as a BTS member and as a soloist. He doesn’t need anyone’s validation and he isn’t searching for it. Saying Korean artists releasing music is for the validation of others is to me is just another way of saying “go back to your country.” BTS has opened doors up for kpop artists globally, so let them release English music and stop complaining.

3D is an incredible song. Jungkook s lyrics especially are saucy and cheeky. His vocals are insane, the song just make me happy and want to dance💜The MV and choreo are fun. Although I don’t think 3D is ground breaking since I heard this kind of music (Latin-flavor harmonic progression and melodies) before, 3D is really well produced and JK‘s sining and adlibs make the song intriguing. It grows on me after a few more times. At first I really thought it was ok. The bass and tempo really make it grooving which I love. I honestly think a lot of people missed the point of the whole song anyway. Yes, it's a bit saucy lol BUT...I think the point of it was that all these girls (ABG's or otherwise) were in 2D (on the computer, on the phone, voice chat etc) and how he used to be able to pick up girls for real and hook up or whatever but now even holding hands is made to be a big deal.
