Weird that they would ever dream of questioning a random person standing in public, but if they must be so impolite and obstructive, they were at least reasonably polite at the end . Excellent Audit Dj. Was a nice change to see the team taking a look and showing an interest of what was seen on the drone footage with some commentary. Nice friendly team once they listened to you and felt at ease. Your bike looked great on that pole against the building with its B&Q orange colour 👍

It is their job, but they are not. trained on what to do is someone is video-recording. .We can't blame them for needing some education.

@@777rogerf I think it's more a case of it not actually being their job but them assuming it is. The main issue (for me anyway) is the problem of the paranoia surrounding seeing someone with a camera. The drones are probably a bit of a different issue because people are unfamiliar with the legalities of their use.

I’ve watched so many auditors and you are, by far, one of the best examples there is. So many other KZfaqrs look for confrontation, escalation and deliberately hide their intentions to provoke. You, on the other hand, have the knowledge and interpersonal skills to put people and situations to the test without the unnecessary entrapment. The result is that a natural situation develops, and it’s up to the people to choose how they respond. If they choose to engage with you, they’re rewarded with some real decent education that’s for the betterment of everyone. The general public who are unfamiliar with the aims of auditing can often get their backs up, which isn’t helped by auditors who are confrontational. You’re doing excellent work, holding people accountable, and providing a public service which will help everyone in the long run - even if they don’t realise it today. Well done and please continue in the manner you act. Very professional.

Great interaction, especially with the Mitie security man; they tend to employ people with lots of common sense, as shown here. I can understand people's concerns when you turn up as it's still quite a new pass-time/hobby & the more that do it, the less concerned folk will be.

Massive place that..didnt realise B+Q was so big. Great interactions with the staff there. Thought the first guy was rude at the beginning but he turned out to be a drone flyer himself. Found this one very educational again has you explained to everyone the drone laws etc. Well done DJ.

They made a fair point about distracting the drivers. I do feel sometimes you could be a little more reasonable. Even if your legally ok, and in the right, it would have been nothing to you to move a few metres.

The information provided by the employee during the drone flight was a welcome addition to your commentary. You usually have to guess a lot of the time, and are possibly wrong some of the time, so the inclusion of some inside knowledge was a nice change.

A ver ynice place with friendly folks. Nice to see. They were a bit perplexed, but I guess that's OK. They did nothing to hinder what you were doing. Them having a recycling center on-site is nice to see. I was a bit afraid they would do poorly, but they were very nice compared to some other places :) Kudos to B&Q, they're a nice business.

To be fair these guys were a credit to B&Q with how they questioned but then listened and finally interacted and were engaged to show off the site. Fair play to them :)
