Today we take a look at Walstead Bicester, Chaucer Business Park, Launton Rd, Bicester OX26 4QZ.
We find a public road which leads to a dead end with lots to see so we have a look around.
A few staff members tell us to leave the public highway and to put a high vis on whilst on the public highway.
They are not too bothered about the rules when I tell them about the Forklift numberplate issues.

A bit of chat reveals the "nice" AA man parked the van there, causing trouble for hgv's and likely caused one of the hgv drivers to illegally mount a pavement and demolish a manhole. DJ was too soft on that hgv driver mounting the pavement and the AA man who incriminated himself!

As a member of the public who is on a public highway, you are not required to wear any PPE. This person giving you directives doesn’t have the authority over you either as your not on their property. I was wondering the reason why he had a white number plate on the back of his forklift truck. It could be because they are using the same numbers for more than one forklift truck 🤔🤔🤔

The number plate is most likely a fleet number and not a registered dvla plate.

@Don't Shoot no, I used to deliver & pick up fork trucks, around Trafford park, and had to put trade plates on. ( driving on the road ). I also used trade plates, for picking up & delivering hgv trucks, that had been in for service / over haul.

Typical industrial estates, renters think because they got a unit they can spill over into either public, or the unit next door. It can get quite territorial with parking, pallets getting dumped, etc.

Like you have said ,he is responsible for the truck as he was driving it .Yes he's got the wrong plate on ,he's also not wearing the seat belt when on a public road.He was a total idiot and was outright confrontational from the get on.well done for keeping your calm. This is priceless content from the best in the game. The reason DJ is so good, is that he doesn't (usually) sink to the low-level cheap-shots of his amateurish peers by slagging off those who confront him by calling them 'muppets' etc. He comes over as a very professional, astute and intelligent bloke, who is really knowledgeable about the 'nuts and bolts' of industry. He's certainly got some bollocks in standing up for his rights in what he does,, and he obviously earns a decent crust from it💰 Fellow 'Auditors' should look and learn - this is how to do it😜

just to add weight to your observation, i do, when i see it "audit the audit" and comment that it's pointless trying to educate the police and clean up their act if all they do with the power the auditors have is to use it to abuse the police, i really don't want to have to call out the police, have them arrive and then not feel like helping me cos someone i dress like or whose demographic i fall into, has just called them muppet and told them to jog on - what's the use of trying to educate the police and then act like them? and we have exemplary cops like the GCHQ guys and MOD who are amazing - it's really counter-productive. still, sing to the choir i imagine.

Absolutely fantastic part of the clip was the bald bully at 10 minutes saying this is private land you can’t film here to which DJ says no this is a council road it’s public land. The guy says listen you’re wrong ALL this is private ok? DJ cleverly changes tack and says “why haven’t you got a hi vis jacket on? What I find hilarious (and obviously this isn't exactly uncommon) is that in that second interaction the 'random guy' is asking you _'What do you find so interesting?'_ Hilarious because, it doesn't HAVE to even be interesting! It should end with, you have the right to film...that's it. You don't even have to explain yourself (though personally I am glad you at least try to do that). All you really need to do is say, 'I'm on public land'. This is sooooo silly.

Thanks DJ that was a blast. I was a same-day courier a decade ago and was sent to this dive a few times at 3 in the morning for "collections ready" that ended up being loaded in my van between 7 and midday. To be fair everyone i spoke to here had a NFG attitude which had been blatantly programmed in by management. They don't give a toss here because the mega money keeps rolling in from the rich who mostly have printing done for the hell of it that ends up sitting outside there back yards.

The mugs and thugs representing Walstead Bicester have issued an open and ongoing invitation to all and any photographers (including Long range telephoto photographers) drone operators auditors and all other interested people to come and make use of all the public roads, foot paths and right of ways until such time as the are cleared and the staff learn the law and maybe some manners.

That's Walstead for you, I wouldn't expect anything less. I used to work for Walstead Roche in Cornwall as an Agency Worker, it's a horrific company to work for! They seem to employ uneducated low life middle age men that's gotten no where in life so they go around like they own the place to mask their embarrassment and shame. I was 20 at the time I was placed there and I had men in their 50s trying to get rid of me because I wouldn't let them bully me, but it never worked because they were uneducated and I'd always put every incident in an email to the agency. I had paper thrown at me by a Number One Operator when paper got jammed in the binder due to bad quality logs (stack of magazine sections), employees equal to me trying to push me around, and I had someone threaten to hit me because they got in the way of me putting a high-lift pallet truck down when it was obvious what I was doing. I'm now an Accountant and I've asked around to see what those low lifes are doing and they're either still stuck in that dead end terrible company, at a equally horrible position, or worse....

The attitude of the staff at Walstead speaks volumes about the company they work for. They are all miserable, gnarly, angry, angsty and just plainly not happy people. So many other sites are quite obviously lovely companies to work for, the welcoming staff tell that story.

The guy on the forklift was extremely threatening, does he not realise he is at work and represents his company and employer. If I was his boss I’d be having strong words with him as it’s not the way to speak or threaten a member of the public regardless of his own opinion and feelings. Hopefully he’s more respectful to any member of the public next time he interacts with someone.

Hey DJ-Old video but new news- I contacted the seller of your bike!! They do not yet sell to the USA they're expanding to Europe first right now and then future plans are to be made after that!!!! So it's my BIRTHDAY on the 24th of may, and what I really wanted the most was a electric assisted bike. I FOUND A GREAT ONE! I also got a credit line for it to raise my credit score!! Then I got a 150$ gift card I bought accessories with that! Thank you so much for being an inspiration!!!

Plant machinery doesn't need an mot but it does need to be checked annually by an engineer usually employed by an insurance company.

I visit Walstead in Peterborough regularly & I have to say the staff there I come into contact with have all been cordial & pleasant. Obviously I'm there in a work capacity, interesting to see their other operations that I was unaware of. The Peterborough site was previously a printing establishment acquired by the Walstead company.
