Awesome! Yeah, one of the things holding me back from extra prop guard protection is the weight, because I like a little bit of acro too and don’t want to lose much in the way of performance if at all possible. If you guys manage to come up with a minimal compromise solution, you can put me down for one. 😅👍

@@NJ-Tech Yeah man, it’s been far too long. Life’s been a little intense over the last couple of years! Would love to meet up for a catch up if you’re ever over this way. Do you have any gigs at the white rock coming up?

@GigawattsFPV not down that way again for a while I don't think bit ill let you know if I'm local. Are you still flying??

Great discussion. I just got the A-2 and have been looking at bumpers but have been hesitant to buy the "ribbed" style because they do look "draggy" and heavy but I couldn't find any info about weight or aerodynamics. Look forward to see what you guys come up with- hopefully access will be possible in the US

Hey what angle is your camera at during this flight? btw very smooth flying nice work

As this was a new spot and i didnt want to fly too fast i usually set it between 20 to 25 degrees. When i change to flying acro then i will usually run between 30-35 degrees. Hope that helps :)
@brandon9689Ай бұрын
I decided not to get the ribbed riders for the same reasons. Seems like a huge hit to aerodynamics, and it would throw off my entire hard case setup. I've been crash free for about a month now. A few light bounces off the grass during the occasional stall, or getting used to low voltage sag. Those bull bars are pretty sweet though.
@NJ-TechАй бұрын
Totally. This is why I stress how subjective this all is. But yeah, the bull bars are great insurance!
@Ariel-lt8lnАй бұрын
This is great. Thank you. I just installed the bull bars and I was nervous about it. I wasn’t sure if installing them would affect my DJI Refresh since it’s a 3rd party part. I also installed the aluminum motor caps. What are your thoughts?
@NJ-TechАй бұрын
Thanks for the kind words! Yes, the bull bars are an easy recommendation for me. Anything that adds weight must have great value for the payoff in performance, even when it's only a few grams it all adds up. I personally don't need the feet but if they work for you then great. It's always subjective to your flying, so go with your gut.

Can you tell us anything about the LEDs? I saw your friends video and the impression I got is that you’re hoping to sell it as a kit?
@NJ-TechАй бұрын
Hi. Yes we are working on a lighting solution but very much in the prototyping stages. The first product we will have ready will be our bumpers. We will have more info on this all soon.

Hey I have a weird problem with my new Avata 2- just got the RC3 today and trying to get in full manual mode (been building and flying fpv since 2016) Seems that turning off the Attitude Limiter is not working. I switched the RC switch to M, switched to manual in Custom mode settings, turned off the Attitude Limiter, adjusted my rates, adjusted gimbal to 15 degree tilt and adjusted the throttle stick on the RC- still limited! Can't flip or roll more than around 25 degrees from level... I reset everything a couple times but to no avail???
@NJ-TechАй бұрын
thats werid... as far as im aware, there are three warnings, the beginner mode warning, the manual mode warning and the attitue limiter. If you have done all 3 then it should work fine. You might have a weird bug there! Are all units up to date on the FW? RC3/'goggles/avata2? You might need to relash the firmware if its still not working after checking all that. Do keep me posted with how you get on..

@@NJ-Tech So an update. I found that even if the switch is on manual upon startup, the Avata2 defaults to N (Normal Mode) So I switched the switch to normal then back to manual and it actually goes into manual but I can't power up in Manual so I have to switch back to N and take off, then hover and switch to manual in the air... THEN a stick diagram appears which requires me to put the sticks in a certain position to activate full manual mode! What a pain in the A**!!! Is there not a way to arm the drone on the ground, switch to full manual and take off???
@NJ-TechАй бұрын
@gee4zfpv yes you can take off in manual. Put the throttle (motor start) on the other customisable rocker switch. Then have the throttle at zero, set to M mode and arm.
@gee4zfpvАй бұрын
