How many acres can you cover in the 15min of flight time? Can I get more info about the Lidar sensor used?

This mission was a terrain following mission with a lot of elevation gain. I would say flat area 15 min flight time ~25 acres per flight. Heavy terrain will drop it to 15. Overlap is important too... Flat and farm land (10% overlap) maybe 35 acres per bat

Very cool stuff. Quick question... Can LIDAR be used to find a metal object in the canopy of trees? Say someone lost a drone in the woods and it went down due to complete battery failure. So there is no tracking it... would you be able to see it with a LIDAR scan?

You're nuts pushing that thing around, if it flipped it could take your hand off or sever your carotid artery. and like many asked why does the landing gear not retract like on a usual mission ? BTW i just got a quote for the m300 r2a package from rock. Thanks for the info.

Payload weight compliance. There are other drones, but I prefer to use the M300 for professional use.

15 minute and 45 second, and thats with terrain following and landing at 18% reserve battery!

Visually the data looks amazing but you did not go over the precision of the actual measurements that where taking by the LiDAR. Also I’m not sure how efficient and scalable this drone set up is. I know flight time will be reduced due to the added payload. Please make another video going over if it is a realistic setup to use on the job, thanks!

I’m curious if you removed vegetation from the map if this could be used for search and rescue applications with a thick canopy? Can you see people generated on the image?

The fuss about it carrying a certain weight is a bit silly, you could have tested that with a dead weight.... let’s see the lidar working and explain how you assemble the measurements over the flight... what’s the sensor you carry,? Range ? Specs ?

You have to add RTK to the drone too. You can't just by an inspire and a LiDAR you have to know something about how to mod your drone with RTK.

IF the legs are not showing in the data, I would just fly legs down . . . more stable (actually faster in straight line) and one less thing that could go wrong. As for the antenna, I agree something on the front cowling would be good . . . maybe directly over the lidar if it lines up. You could actually design and replace the front nose piece and make the shelf built in.

I went to your website and looked at the lidar equipment. It works with the Matrice and other drones. You do not have it listed with the inspire 2. So it's not recommended to use with the I2?
