Been flying mine all around DFW International airport for the airport marketing department and the footage is insane. Huge step up from the Inspire 2. This drone is becoming a standard for all our large productions.

Hey Jake, thanks for the review and the beautiful footage. It's expensive but for film makers I get it. They probably already using it for the 8k so by the time in the future when 8k TV's become more common. It makes sense because all the movies in theaters now were probably filmed some time ago because of the time it takes to make a movie. Thank you again for showing some of the cool stuff the Inspire 3 can do.

Great Video Jake! Im Sure they are using this Drone in Hollywood Productions!! I like the Segment where you in the Helicopter holding the Drone and using it for Super Steady Gimbal Shots. I've flown in the Robinson R22 many times in Hawaii shooting Surfers on Massive 60ft Waves and a Gimbal is essential to Smooth out Thousands of Micro Vibrations per second!

First of all, well done on your video review of the I3, DJI should give you the I3 because there's no doubt you will cause more units to be sold as a result of this. I know that I and other I3 owners would love to see how you edited this video especially the I3 footage on final cut pro x. I'm assuming that you were able to get such amazing footage by setting the color space in the fcpx library to wide gamut HDR rather than standard rec 709 SDR? Did you experience a lot of over exposure or blowing out the I3's sensitive camera and I would love to know what kind of ND filters you primarily used if any at all. Thanks so much!

Hey Kyle, I actually shot most of this in Pro Res Raw and then set FCPX to 709 SDR. for almost all the helicopter stuff I used Polar Pro ND filters to get exposure where I wanted it. I have a few more videos coming about the Inspire 3!

Thank you for the photo info.., I’m a photographer first and video 2nd and you’re the first person to mention the photo quality…. We have good income each week but I’m still going to wait probably a year until I can get it for $10k… I have limits for everything haha. Still own my i1, i2 with X7, … can’t wait for that full frame goodness… now Sony is teasing me with a 300 2.8 GM which is also at my limits for a lens ($7500) My CPA and wife is going to kill me. PS we were previously talking about our new Type A slots and I had 2 slots fail in my a1 and a7iv…. I think it’s the sd cards that chip off and screw up the slot but if you only use Type A you probably won’t have any issues.. I’m about to send in my a1 for cleaning and I’ll ask pro support about the issue. Cheers man! If you ever come way down south to East Tennessee we’ll put you up.. come see us! Appalachian mountains, Bristol Motor Speedway, and the Smoky Mountains…

Agreed. So almost all of that episode was filmed and edited in 8k but yes sadly KZfaq doesn’t allow 8k uploads

Yes they do! You just need to render the 8k video to H.264 and computers and some displays can watch your video in 8k

I’m just curious DJI sent you the inspire 3 to do a video review and then you have to give it back. But what benefit do you get for making the video? Besides money from KZfaq assuming your channel is monetized? Otherwise that’s just free advertising for DJI.

I work with inspire 3's in many different contexts and have worked with 5 or 6 different ones since it was released. This video was going to be made with or without DJI loaning me one.

I read somewhere that someone took a brand new set of Inspire 2 batteries, and a brand new set of Inspire 3 batteries and ran tests. There were two or three minutes difference, I have not fact checked that though. @@davidjayamazingkitesurferp3819

The best set up is a ipad and stock controller for inspire 2 - with a max dual patch never failed me!! Cendence and Crystallsky is a total rip off !!! Do not buy these combos listed for sale!!!

I just did a inspire 2 flight with a cendence and Cystallsky ultra, a total joke setup , a mini 3 pro is 100% better, my crystallsky crashed 2-3 times making me land with no screen, i might only be Hobby but if that was a paid Gig, I would never get work again many shots you never get a second chance!!! Inspire 2 is not reliable at all. My Crytallsky is clean. Cache deleted, its old tech and never well made from day one!!! I updated and put all my faith and will to make it work and it failed miserably

You didn't mention you don't need the RTK base station and can use a service instead...

@JakeSloan Indeed, but still felt it shouldn't have been missed. Not everyone will need a case or all batteries but you mention those :) The RTK base station is a significant upfront cost and I also understand there is a bit of setup and it isn't simply a turn on and go but this also wasn't mentioned :)
