Dustin you may recall yesterday I bought the Mavic Mini in which you replied, thanks for that, but having played with it for a while I see that it has limited functions/settings. The MAVIC MINI for the money it's a great little drone fly's great, very easy even for a beginner like me. I then came across this video. Watched the whole video, then took back the Mini drone to the store and purchased the DJI Mavic 2 pro. Once again great video, editing and clarity. Top job young man.

I don't know if its possible with your buddies drone, but if you could shoot the area with the red sand beach that you did with your pro as a comparison that would be outstanding. However I understand if that's impractical with a borrowed drone.

I find that when I take off and go up about 20 feet it helps with the return to home feature. I have always calibrated my drone before I take off. The Mavic 2 zoom is one of the best drones I have ever flown. I was flying it once at about 289 feet and had a Hawk come in checking out my drone, and have a video of the bird turning away from my drone.

Very nice tests and video. The active track is marvelous. I'm anxious to know what happens in tracking a flying object like another drone or a slowly flying RC-plane above 12mph and no obstacles in the vicinity except the target. Should M2Z keep up distance from the target above 12 mph?

As usual an excellent review....does it use a combination of the tracking box you draw around yourself AND the gps in the tablet/phone/transmitter? OR just the tracking box...would be great if you could do a test with the controller left on the floor...or track your daughter or another person while you hold the controller a distance away ready to take over in an emergency.

Great test, scared me on those branches..lol.. Yesterday I filmed where I could have used the point of interest and didn't even think about it, dang it, gonna have to start using the intelligent features so I look more intelligent. Awesome tests! Is it true that the zoom video appears to be clearer and more crisp than that of the mavic 2 pro? Was this apparent in your tests? I've been considering these drones for a while now since the prices have significantly gone down, though i only have a budget for 1 drone....

Pretty cool, Zoom could come in handy in some situations. I agree that either it was an update or a better camera, it performed a little better than the PRO.

So glad you mentioned the "washing" out on the camera I found this pretty bad on my zoom something that could easily be sorted out with software and the precision landing is vital as where I fly I use my heli pad to push down the grass as its quite high (only places mowed is where the people walk) and I clip grass every time I land with auto land so I have stopped using this function and manually land (no biggie dji) but this has to be the No1 asked for feature on most of the videos I watch. Great video mate and nice to see someone featuring (the arguably most popular variant due to cost) the zoom. More please! :) Cheers

super test! just what you would like to know..1 thing..if the drone cant follow anymore going downhill and stops due to leaves etc..if you would hit the return home buttom will it be able to safely go there,like you would need it to do incase of out of sight scenario
