If you are getting an error message that says: "gimbal obstruction" and the gimbal calibration does not fix the error, you most likely have a bad gimbal. This video will show you how to quickly and easily change the 4K gimbal for the DJI Mavic Pro drone. Look below for a list of everything that you're going to need.

I have the same problem, I dont normally use the gimbal clamp while travelling. I faced the gimbal motor overload error. My gimbal reacts exactly like yours. May I know your mailing address for repairs and the cost?

WHY IN THE WORLD would you replace the full gimbal and camera part when it's only the flat ribbon cable that has been damaged. That is a GBP 15 cost repair vs over 300 pounds for a full replacement. Do I miss anything here - maybe you just want to sell the full replacement kit?

Thanks for the info. I had to replace the plate the camera attaches to. The bands seem to have stretched a bit and used your process with a little deviation, but in the end was a success.. OHHHHHHH YEEAAAHHHHHH! Thanks again

Great video!! Totally agree with you on the length of the video, nothing against some posters, their info is usually very good, but when I'm frustrated over needing to fix a drone, I want the video to get to the point and show me what I need to know. Cheers!!

This video is well made, as you show exactly which screws to touch and how to dissassemble and assemble pieces - removes a bit of the scare... You could have said, though, which kind of screwdrivers or other tools you should get or have: / I came across this video as I occasionally (note: not always) get heavy gimbal shake (sometimes with, sometimes without an "excessive vibration" warning) and that is absolutely useless for films for my Golf&Tesla channel (I use the drone mainly for my golf course reviews, views of Tesla superchargers from above, and occasional landscape footage). If I can avoid it though, I don't want to take the drone and camera/gimbal apart...

So I am trying to remove the screws (with the right tool) an 2 of there are already stripped before I even try. I got one out with a flat head but the other top screw is not turning. They came this way from DJI. My drone was replaced under warrantee and they gave me a refurbished one which I was not happy about. Now I am stuck. Any suggestions?

Great video indeed, thank you for sharing it. hello from Nicaragua amigo. I had the same issues, I replaced the gimbal with no problems, all fine, but when I am flying the camera films with waves line in the video, the stability of the gimbal is great but the video is not stable. Any suggestions, thank you!

Good Video my friend. My Mavic Pro camera will not focus or respond on autofocus. I have updated firmware reset camera setting but makes no difference. Any ideas? I would really appreciate some help on this.

Derek White did you get this resolved? It’s possible that an internal lens moved inside the camera due to vibration.

why not replace only the gimball and not the camera. It's 5 time cheaper

@@r.s.overland6134 I'm checking prices now, I know it'll be more expensive, but I DO NOT want to mess with that ribbon. I've watched a bunch of tutorials on it and once tried doing it myself on a Phantom 4 camera, too intricate. I get frustrated to easy I guess..lol.

@@sunshynff the camera is just snap on the gimball ifi remember when i change it. So it's 90% like changing the Gimball just you keep the tiny camera

Thanks for this video. I successfully mounted my new one, and it works beautifully... except the vision front left and front right won't work anymore. It's spitting out errors. Any suggestions? I think I'll open it back up and check the cable connections over the gimbal itself...

Try going in the control settings and doing a gimbal calibration. Also reset the gimbal to factory settings. Please report back to help others

Hi, I have the same problem that you showed in the video. But mu error message is: "motor overload". Do you think it's the same error? How can I know if the problem is the ribbon or the complete gimbal? I'm asking this because of the big difference of price between the 2 . Thanks!!!!!!! Davide from Italy!

davide rossi the only way to find out is by changing the ribbon cable and if this doesn’t work, then you have to change the whole gimbal.

Excellent video! My mavic apart from having problems with the gimbal as samples in the video the camera does not seem to communicate with the drone. The image is all black. I will solve by replacing the gimbal or I need to change another component such as flex? Thank you

Can I fix the gimbal on my mavic mini? The black part holding the camera to the drone broke and split, not completely but a lot. Just happened.

Adv Rana Irfan Shahid go in the app and reset the gimbal. If that doesn’t work, it could be the cable.
