2 year old video and still TOTALLY relevant. Two years ago, the P4 was superior but now with the mav2pro the P4 sits on the shelf. Great grading tips on the composition techniques. nobody likes crazy twisty drone clips except for the person flying and shooting LOL Keep it simple! Top-down. Dolly-in. Dolly out. slow reveals etc.... You nail it! Glad I found you!

One issue I seem to have a lot with the Mavic is the "high wind velocity warning" I never know if I should ignore it because it shows up 75% of the time I fly over 200 ft
@futuramanut7 жыл бұрын
You can probably ignore it as long as you don't go too much higher. Keep in mind battery life if you have to fight the wind to get back to land though.
@stevespawn16 жыл бұрын
Mine does it when there is zero wind at ground level at times. I ignore it but watch battery level especially if returning in a head wind.

Thanks Kraig simple invaluable advice as usual I bought my Mavic in January not had time or the weather to fly it yet. Only thing I'm not sure about is focusing I presume it's just tap the screen, I'll have to get on KZfaq and look up a tut on that. I've just moved to FCPX from PP on the new MBP after watching your video. Absolutely love FCPX, magnetic timeline speeds things up so much and no more rendering - love it.

There are several HD solutions out there, Connex Pro is the best of the small compact solutions. This definitely does a good to great job for platforms outside of DJI. If you are looking for HDMI glasses for your rig, or even be there to see the shot when somebody else is taking it, there are several choices. I know you are a glasses wearer so I think a solution from Zeiss, the CinemizerOLED Video Glasses a lot of guys at the enthusiast to pro level use them for the shots they take. I have even seen a guy that does contract work for National Geographic use them. They could work for you because I believe you can get them with prescription lenses. Zeiss is after all a high quality lens manufacturer first and foremost. Flight Test are a bunch of good guys on KZfaq that feature several videos on the subject. But there are other HDMI solutions, I just think these are the slickest of the bunch. I know you are an extremely busy guy, but if you do some interwebs research...lol I am sure you could find something to suite your needs. Now that the Mavic pro features the new HD video monitoring system, it has less latency than ever before. Light bridge was good, but from what I have been hearing this newest iteration is even better. Anyway enough rambling and have a good day....

Kraig, 1st I love your tutorials. I watch them over and over again. Sometimes for Newbies like myself, many times we need the (Devil's in the Details) type videos. The DJI Mavic Pro is an awesome unit. Tons of "INTRO" video's out there. If you could please consider making an in-depth tutorial and breaking it down into say, 10 different videos’. At the time, I’m writing this message you have over 242,000 views. Times 10 video’s equals over 2.5 million views!!! Now monetize that!! But I’m sure there are tons of people like myself who need to see a tutorial of every function on the phone display. Thanks and again, love your work. Dave

I agree with another comment. ND 32 for high noon sunshine is best since you dont have an adjustable aperture. You shutter speed is still a tad too high. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 shutter speed is perfect at 30fps.

Hey Kraig, Sorry to dig back almost a year into content but after watching your videos for months on end I finally purchased a Mavic Pro. Have you ever had much problems with a small glare coming through the protective dome around the camera? It seems like almost always that this happens with my photo/video and the only option would be to take it off, but Im fearful of ruining my drone. Can you shed some feedback?
@bobb64626 жыл бұрын
The clear plastic dome is meant to protect your drone's camera/gimbal in the bag, NOT when you're flying. In addition to it ruining your images, it blocks the air vents when flying that keep your drone cool. As a rule, always remove it before flying.
