I'm about to buy one of these, and your vid was very helpful. But can I ask... I've heard that you can't use the DJI in Bluetooth mode with an iPhone as the camera app doesn't work with it in Bluetooth - Do you know if this is true? I read that you have to use a third party camera app instead!

thanks for all the info you have crammed into this short vid, its helped me immensely. I have just purchased this mic set and was struggling to figure out why it wouldn't connect properly. Your explanation of holding the bottom of the transmitter when plugging it into the phone fixed the issue for me. I was pushing it in to be 'flush' with the phone and that was mis aligning the contacts on the transmitter, doh! now it all works perfectly!

Almost half of this video is an ad for some Ulanzi(?) stuff. I won’t be back.

Thanks for sharing the tip about switching modes. I plan on getting this mic and a Action 4 and I want to use the mic with my phone + receiver and then use the mic with the action 4 via Bluetooth so that’s nice to know it’s easy to have it switch between the 2

you put the receiver gain at +6 but the mic is only connected to the phone if you are using bluetooth correct?

Hi Bro! Good effort. DJI Mic 2, I am facing auto disconnection with iphone. The mic will work properly for the first time after connecting. If you stop video recording and start re-recording, the mic will be disconnected. Even if the video recording is turned off and on for a while, the same problem occurs. The DJI mic is switching to the iPhone mic. Is there any solution for this?

if you plug this via usbc or lightning into your iphone, do you have sound output somewhere? im trying to listen to my recordings but i cant get it to work

Thanks for those tips! However there is one thing I want to point out. In the Phone Compatibility List DJI says that the Receiver Gain is not available when using the mobile phone connector. So setting the RX to +6 shouldn’t change anything when using it with your phone. So it‘s only the +6 on the transmitter that makes the difference.

Great video and very helpful. I'm tossing up between the mic or mic 2 but also wanted to see how it would work work with an iphone in landscape mode. The extra tips on GoPro's and the Ulanzi products were a bonus so thanks for that.

I got 2 separate sets that had intermittent static & sound artifacting when used w/ a lav mic. It wasn't on every video, but it happened often enough that I don't have confidence in the Mic 2. I wound up returning it and sticking with the Mic 1. In many of the reviews, I think the Mic 1 actually sounds better!! I was considering trying out the Rode Wireless Pro w/ a USB-C to USB-C dongle from another wireless system so that it could attack like the DJI... but I'm thinking to save the money and maybe wait for the DJI Mic 3 or Rode Wireless Pro 2. Not sure if you have the Fulaim X5 or the Mailada Wireless mic? Curious if the included USB-C to USB-C connector can work with Rode Wireless Pro. I think it can! Might be a game changer since Fulaim sells it on their website.

I want to record a video with 3 people. Only thing I can think of is record the 2 into the iphone 15 pro max and start the other mic to record into the internal storage then merge them together
