9 ай бұрынWow! The DJI Mini 4 Pro is really an excellent achievement in engineering. In the video I put the little drone's tracking ability to the test. I fly the drone and using ActiveTrack and POI mode and use it to follow my E-bike. obstacle avoidance and APAS are off the hook! This was a great test of the drone's tracking and OA capabilities.

'Nuther great video, Marcus! I am always blown away by the capabilities of DJI drones. That 360 obstacle avoidance is truly amazing. I especially love that artificial drone shadow that it superimposes on the screen. A very nice feature. Keep'em coming!

ActiveTrack seems to get better with each drone release. But I still say if you had the option of using GPS tracking to your controller, it would never loose you. I think activetrack was invented so you could follow someone/something besides yourself. Great testing, and thanks for sharing Marcus.

I really enjoyed that Marcus. The challenges you gave it were realistic, and when the drone lost you, it was in situations where there was a lot to contend with. I have seen tracking challenges that were far to extreme and totally unrealistic, and I don’t think you learn anything from them. The Mini 4 Pro is clearly an impressive bit of kit

Very Nice Marcus ! I am on the fence here , i am thinking of this one or the Air-3 ! Basic straight foward Flying and Filming is what i do but this is still good to know what this Bird can do .

Hi Marcus, a very nice video showing APAS while tracking, thank you for sharing. Tracking was 100% perfect when the drone had line of sight. It would have needed x-ray vision when obscured. IMO if DJI offered the ability to GPS track the controller, the drone would never lose tracking.

i think in few aspects (tracking from behind) its even a smal step back from the mini 3 Pro. The problem is that the obstical avoidance sensors dont see as far as on the Mini 3 Pro because of its Fisheye lenses (18m vs. 25m). You can realy see that it reacts a few meters too late on obsticals and get too close on it. if you are walking thats fine- if you are on a Bike you get problems. Without waypoints i would have not upgraded to the Mini 4 Pro.

No, there would have been a + on the screen. Normally you can simply draw a box, and it will recognize the subject.

For it to track you higher or lower you would need to use the 360 inner and out circle. You can set height for inner and outer circle with other focus track settings that are new. The exact landing works and well but you gotta have your compass calibrated. In fact it out performs my Mavic 3 Pro every time eveyway. My landing is flawless everytime with m4p best yet in experience. Also I think it's a glitch, not recognizing you. I don't think it's the bike. My m4p does that with me if I look at it wrong just with me no bike. I hope you are enjoying your m4p.

I believe this is more a function of Active Track 360 than the actual hardware (mostly) Here is why Action Track 360 has the others beat: You can run it effectively at MUCH LOWER. Flying the drone above or THROUGH the tree canopy presents more issues than it solves. Keep the drone UNDER that csnopy and suddenly all you have to contrnd with is tree trunks and the occasional low branch. This will not be quite so good mid-winter when the sun is low, and bare thin branches await the little Mini 4 - ready to reach out and SWAT IT. Like a bug. But for now... its the Active Track Champion. No time for losers, cause Mini 4's the champion. Of the World. Now sing with me: We Will We Will TRACK YOU. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Didn't you have the other drones up higher? Seems to me like they were about 25' to 30' high. This flight you only have it about seven to eight feet high. Not a fair test in my opinion.

Not interested in this drone at all... And buddy the obstacle avoidance sucks. Have a look at all the steadily building complaints as DJI quick cash grab mini drone b4 the regs get stricter gets pushed out.. Quite amusing to see youtubers cringing now as less clicks for revenue.. Happy flying.

Mini 3Pro and Mavic 3 CLASSIC are both very capable machines and no need for this quick cash grab mini drone from DJI... Bet you will say the same for a mini 5/6/7 etc etc it's becoming nauseating now with some youtubers that are so under DJI's thumb.

Congratulations! If you can't trust obstacle avoidance 100%, you can't trust it at all. DJI's active--track sucks. It's a gimmick. Nobody uses it in real life.
