your test has nothing fancy. no beautiful beach, no waterfall in a jungle in the middle of an island. and it’s what I like about it. a REAL LIFE TEST, in DAILY LIFE situations, which most of people can relate to. Very useful video. thank you 👍👍👍

I see from many other KZfaqrs mentioned that you can enable auto record immediately after turn on in the settings to avoid missing out quick moments. I love your no frills straight up no nonsense review that give normal users exactly what they can expect out of the box with basic settings. Very often, I get tired of those overly polished reviews where KZfaqrs will shot log, color grade and post processing until I am not sure where the real world tests end and their skilful editing chops begin.

I like these decent reviews from smaller channels, it's like going back to the old KZfaq I knew and really liked, subbed.

It has a show case mode. It also has a auto turn on in film mode and it takes about a second and a half to go from your pocket to filming.

I'm glad that you covered the 2X zoom. Nobody's talking about that. I'm waiting for mine to come in the mail and I'll be doing a review on it as well.

Rarely comment on reviews but this was just what I wanted to see to justify my need to purchase it. Thank you!

so many reviewers are making negative comments when in reality they just don't know all the features of the camera. for example, this reviewer complained that the camera couldn't focus at two inches from an object. it clearly states in the specs the minimum focus distance is not two inches. Try showcase mode. it may help. Also, this reviewer complained that it took a couple seconds to record video when he turned the camera on. there's a setting that immediately starts recording when you turn the camera on as you flip the screen from vertical to horizontal. reviewers should take more time to get used to the camera and all it's functions before publishing a "review". it's not fair to judge a product when you don't know how to fully use it.

The diff in low light footage between this and iPhone is incredible. Wouldn’t have expected that.

The creator pack was the way to go. The mic is really small… fits in a coin pocket. It connects instantly and has 32-bit float audio. Battery last a really long time. But in any case, enjoy.

Fantastic, I film almost all of my footage on a bicycle, (nightlife in low light) camera strapped to my left wrist, controlled by mimo on my right thumb. Works great. The upgrade from the pocket 2 to 3 has further enhanced the video quality massively. Continued success to you and your channel 🙏

Nice review. I updated from the Pocket 1 to the Pocket 3 and am really happy with it. I also have an Action 4 but these two cameras have very different use cases. But the Pocket 3 larger sensor really outshines the Action 4 in low light conditions. And the fast charging is really great to have.

Thanks for the great video! I really enjoy these 'not so hyper polished' real world reviews and especially useful for me was the iphone comparisons. I'm thinking about swapping my iphone14pro+gimbal setup to one of these because it would be so much quicker to setup at all times. Most of the time with my iphone I don't have time or the space to carry and set up the gimbal and it's a pretty bulky setup anyway. With the high quality video and small form factor this is really compelling and I was pleasantly surprised about the sound and even the 2x zoom on this. For my channel it would be plenty good enough!

I am curious to know how long does the battery last? One more question, have you tried to connect the gadget via cable with a battery pack? Afterwards if you do would you be able to use it and record using the cable attached to it? I am thinking that this method of connecting it would work well when driving a car or riding a bike. Thanks for the video good work.

Probably not best time of year but quite few people complaining about overheating but it only where is warm and sunny so did you feel any overheating?

Thanks Dan for your review. The DJI Pocket 3 is amazing. I often use a GoPro 11 and the Pocket 3 blows it away. In fact, I also use a Sony ZV-E1 (full frame) vlogging camera using a 16-35mm and I think the Pocket 3 does a better job in most situations. Would appreciate some footage in 60P and more 120P.

Super useful. Already purchased and waiting but the real lifeness is a big plus.

Seeing other videos also, the footage looks awesome, but I think it needs to lowering the sharpness, the auto-exposure, and limit the iso maybe, I saw that also has a a noise reduction slider, not sure which is the best value for that.

I recorded the annular solar eclipse with a gopro and the camera is OK. Could I record timelapse next year's eclipse and track the sun

Nice review. For the tricky audio in the coffee shop, that’s where the DJI wireless mic is needed because it just gonna pick up your voice singly and cleanly, as opposed to iPhone that picks up all the background noises. That’s the only thing that gets to me too when vlogging with iPhone, it picks up everything.
