This is my beginner's guide for the new DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and is geared to those who are brand new to the pocket series and have never used one before. This beginner's tutorial and guide will help you get familiarized with the hardware and how the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 functions. We cover topics such as charging, memory, activating, and updating firmware. We also look at basic functionality such as recording and switching back and forth between verticle and horizontal video.

My only suggestion would be how to change the language setting, as when I got mine, it was not set to English,, but a quick google sorted that,, however, great video, thank you.

Hi, good video. One irritating thing is those massive onscreen messages that block the screen and don't go away and blocl your view. Eg 'activetrack activated'. How do you switch them off? Thx

This was a very well thought out and presented video on the new DJI Osmo Pocket 3. You mentioned the Creators Pack included the DJI Mic, but it's important for new users to know it's actually Mice 2, or the next generation of the product. One thing that I found disappointing is that the hard case does not fit inside the pack included with the creator kit. While the case protects the components, if you store the wide view lens in the hard case in the space provided, then you must move it to the compact case if you don't plan to take the hard case with you. It's a minor inconvenience, but it would have been simple enough just to make the case slightly larger so that everything fits into that case.

Will the camera orientation change say I have it upside down handle pointing upward So holding standard but if I flip it upside down and start recording in either vertical or horizontal to still record in upside down but the camera orientation looks like if normal when upright

Say your in landscape mode recording then you flip screen to vertical while still recording will it continue to record after clicking continue and then switch back to landscape mode.

Read that without flipping screen we can still shoot horizontal. In this way we don't have to damage screen where for many it gets stuck

Hi, thanks for this great tutorial video .... Clearly and concise Can i ask you 2 questions - 1). Can you still record using the OP3 while charging ? 2). Can you charge the OP3 using battery bank ? and can you still record using the OP3:while charging using a power bank ? Thanks

The answer is yes to both you can plug it in while charging, and it can be charged with the power bank with no issues at all

with all the awesome things this device can do it is still limited and there are a few issues I hope DJI get to fix. The first issue that was never fix after this new update, Webcam mode sucks I am still only getting about 40mins in webcam mode over FaceTime or zoom and the camera will overheat and disconnect. The other issue is, I am still not able to preview the low resolution video in the app on my phone. To preview your video you have to watch it back on the small screen. I normally will connect my phone to the Pocket 3 when I am filming myself and want to just preview a sample clip, Nope it won't work and I have the iPhone 14pro Mex. I hope they fix this or if there is a way to fix this please let me know.

Help!!! My computer doesn't handle the HEVC format well, so I can only record in H.264. I set this on the camera and saved it. But I always notice again and again that it's recording in HEVC... Why? What's happening? Why isn't it retaining the settings? Please give me some ideas, thanks!

what about the small black accessory block that comes with it? is that supposed to be charged too and if so, how?

Know that small block accessory is strictly for adding a mount to the bottom. There is no battery built into it that needs charging. it only has USB-C pass-through to charge the main battery
