Hi. Is there a way to connect osmo pocket to suction cup while having the option to attach controller wheel and wifi adapter. With the tripod or go pro mounts, cannot connect both of them at same time and cannot also recharge while using the tripod adapter.

Does the polar pro gimbal protector work with the polar pro case that has the 1/4 inch screen holes? And also when it has ND filters on? Would be great to have a gimbal cover you can use when you have that cage, filters and wheel on.

Thanks for the demonstration. The biggest issue with most accessories is that you have to take them all off to put your Osmo Pocket in the case. For that the screen / camera protection is pretty cool though!

Thanks for your review. Really thorough. I was very in favour of the polar pro mounts, rather than the Dji one until I listed use case scenarios. One thing mentioned by a few people is the fact the polar pro mount allows the wheel to be connected but the Dji one doesn’t. Call me crazy but why would I want to use the controller wheel while the Osmo Pocket was mounted? Surely being mounted means I’d rather not touch the device, to avoid camera shake. Than fiddle with the wheel. For me the thing that makes the Dji mount seem more useful is that I can attach the wireless at the same time so my phone can control It without the camera shake, when it was mounted to something. I’ve gone a complete U Turn on my opinion if the usefulness of the Polar Pro mounts.

Thank you, there is a lot of reasons. Tripod mount will be very suitable for mounting mic, so will still be able to use controller wheel, it is also useful for precisely setting timelapse waypoints, it has 1/4 inch mounts and so on. Of course it depends on how you use your OP, original mount is more suitable for some occasions.

I'm looking to use the Controller Wheel, USB C External Microphone Adapter and Edutige ETM 001 microphone at all times, and want to mount the pocket to a backpack strap. Are you aware of any clip, strap mount, harness combo that will make this possible? Goal is for the Osmo to sit in some kind of open bottom harness (for room for the USB c mic adapter and mic), so I cam snatch it from the harness and film via handholding at will. I'll be backpacking, hiking and fly fishing with it mounted. Thanks so much!

Let's check out how well you can do macro on this, even if it needs an adapter. I'd like to see the depth of field. And how close you can get. I've always had the notion of putting a camera in the bottom of a bowl of cereal and filling it up with that. Naturally in 7.1 surround....

Thank you, you can use PolarPro app for calculating the ND that you need. You just need to set shutter speed to double of your frame rate, and the app will calculate that.

I'm planning to get a 2 of 256 GB SD cards for the DJI Osmo Pocket for travel. I won't have a laptop though and I plan to record at 4k 30fps. I'll be going for 2 weeks and I think that might not be enough storage. Any thoughts on this? Also, based on 30 fps, I guess that would then be 1/60 for shutter speed and picking the filters would tell me how many stops it would be. I think I'm just beginning to understand this stuff. Photography is completely new to me on these terms. Thanks again!

How are you using the AF in the Osmo? I found the AFS better in many cases, the AFC hunts a lot. What's your opinion?

I agree, if it is possible AFS is safer option, but AFC is not that bad with new FW.

Hi thanks for the great detailed description. I would like to add a handstrap to the Osmo pocket. I have a goPro accsessories kit that has something like that in it, bit I am not really sure how you use it. you can see it here on the left side in the middle. Can you give me a hint, how this is used? Also, I am considering getting the gimbal lock from polarpro but for ease of use I woiuld like to attach a string to it so if I remove it it still is attached to the camera. Do you think it is possiblke to drill a hole to attach a string without compromising the structure?

I don't use hand straps, so I can't help you with that. It is possible to attach the strap without issues.

By hand strap do you really mean wrist strap? If so just go to one of the big online camera stores and search by wrist strap. There are many manufacturers supplying straps for smaller cameras that would suit the DJI.

Yes, it is powered from the OP, USB-C port is for charging the camera. It is secure enough to hold it even upside down.

ulanzi's op-7 is a case that combines both the tripod mount case and the gopro mount case..... it has 3 gopro mounts, 1 1/4 at the bottom and a hot shoe on the right

Can that base be used and then use the microphone adapter INTO the base so you can use a lapel mic? I sure hope so...

If you're using the wireless module, I don't think you can do story mode. It's not a deal breaker really unless someone's a beginner like me and want to play with those for starters.
