It's great that DJI are listening to the feedback and releasing feature adding firmware updates so soon, and not just simply squashing bugs. The ability to have scratch/ambient audio, or a two person set up as you described, using the wireless mic and inbuilt simultaneously, makes this camera a new (and established) content creator's dream! This firmware update alone makes the creator combo the most cost effective way to get started in content creation, in my opinion! I wonder what it is about low light mode that prevents the wav file being generated. Slo-mo I can understand sure... But I thought low light mode was simply tweaking the exposure and levels.. Hopefully they will add this feature too. Thanks for the detailed video!

The transmitter is best used in noisy areas or when there is wind. But yes, I also like the sound of the internal mics too.

Amazing update. I wish there was a quicker way to navigate through the shooting modes. The touchscreen takes some time, we need a shortcut with one of the buttons

When updating the Osmo pocket 3 and the battery together, is it possible to also just connect it to your computer and update it that way if you aren't able to access the mimo app just like the DJI Mic 2?

Outside ordering the combo with the DJI Mic2, I find no other place to purchase just the DJI Mic2. Do you have a link? I only see it offered with the Pocket 3.

For those who are new - there was a question for tripod. I ordered Fotopro X-Aircross 3 as a tripod to be used with pocket 3. Seems a good option.

After watching several of your videos and others on KZfaq, I ordered a new camera. The sad part is I can't get the Osmo' connected to DJI to activate it hopefully from someone from the US is to call back tomorrow and give me a hand.. The four photos I got before it locked up were fantastic.

Love your Pocket 3 vids! 👏🏻 Was hoping this update might include a hook that will allow for us to use the P3 as a podcast camera, but with a cable longer than 10 ft. Works great with a 6 ft usb 3.1 cable, and Anker makes a 10 ft cable that would work… but to be able to use the P3 with a cable somewhere around 20 ft? (For 2nd studio camera in a demo area - ie yoga, sports training, fitness). Closest thing i can find is a 15 metre fibre usb 3.1 cable (close to $200 Cdn$) - but with no user reviews as to whether it would work or not. Suggestions?

As someone else has mentioned in the comments, there is a significant issue with the audio backup feature, which in principle should be a fantastic feature. It works in stereo if the external mic is connected via USB-C (and it could be a mono or stereo mic, or a 3rd party wireless mic), but using the DJI Mic 2, the internal mic image collapses to mono. So if you want to use the DJI wireless mic to help to pick your voice up when you are in the city or at the beach, you get a mono ambience with a mono voice, and that's useless. The underlying problem is that the audio settings get over-ridden by whatever is externally connected, and only the external source is configured, not the internal mics writing to the wave format file. So if the DJI mic is connected, the audio options are mono only (if it's one mic). If an external USB-C source is connected, you get options for mono or stereo, and recording level, but still no way to configure the internals. This is being actively discussed on the DJI forum, where I have suggested that they should make use of the currently blank right hand lower panel of the audio options, and call that "external source" or whatever. Tapping that should take you to a submenu for configuring the external source. The internal mics would be configured to taste in the original menu just like now. This would then give you pickup pattern and wind noise reduction options, as now. I'd be glad if anyone interested would chip in on that thread - if they got this right it would be great!

Informative video - thanks. I am still hard pressed why I would buy the P3, when I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and a Flow gimbal. The iPhone shoots ProRes and has 3 lenses, so why bother with the P3?

The P3 is great if you want something small and stealthy, as it’s much smaller than a phone and gimbal combo, plus it can do 4K120.

audio not being available in slowmo is understandable. but i don't know why a lot features become unavailable in low light mode. ... nevertheless ... you can still match 'low light' mode manually and and retain all the functions.

I honestly don’t use low light mode. I just use normal video mode in low light b/c I don’t see a huge difference.

Question for you , I know the DJI Pocket 3 is not an action camera , but I just want to use it mainly to record my table tennis matches ...Do you think the quality of low light and video quality is better than the Gopro 12 or the Insta 360 action camera Ace pro??? I am just curious , I might do an upgrade from my Gopro 11 .I cannot wait to hear from your feedback.

I saw a slightly different comparison video between the Insta Ace Pro, GoPro12, and Action4 in low light conditions (night time street walk, dimly lit). The Insta360 easily outperformed GoPro12, where the stabilization didn't work at all and the image was very noisy. The Action4 held up much better, but the IS off the Ace Pro was still noticeably better with better sharpness and details in low light.

2:10 This does not work the way everyone wants it. If you are using a mono source (i.e.a single Mic 2) the backup files will be in mono. What we need is for the internal mic file to _always_ be in stereo so it can be used for ambience. I did a short video about it: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d8V1aLSSl9q-hYE.htmlsi=7Cml3Jo7xE7IytPz Thank you for the link to update the transmitter, and also the tip about the battery handle (which wasn't clear in the update process). I updated the camera and when I connected the battery handle and turned it on, the battery handle updated itself without being connected to the Mimo app. I'd say that was good engineering!

You can do that for the camera and battery handle, but not for the Mic 2 (I mean, maybe you can, but it’s much easier to do on a computer).
