Man... Brad showed a lot of mercy and you could straight up see him giving a lesson to this guy. Showing him all the ways he was leaving himself open, it was extremely honourable of him to have held back and gone for learning moments instead of just taking all the openings he had... hearing this was a split decision is outrageous. And hearing DK say he thought he won after watching this back is just sad. He had a real opportunity to learn and grow. I wouldn't have held the loss against him if he owned it... but now he goes in the shit box with Charlie zelenoff

@@tris9596 there's literally zero proof of that though. I fully understand why woodley would be hesitant going in on a younger guy who straight up has the power to knock him out like he did his last 3 opponents. and woodleys own history has taught him he can get ko'd going in. woodley is a counter-puncher, who has been punished repeatedly for being too aggressive. and paul himself is a counter-puncher with longer range... it totally makes sense that he didn't go in as much.

You have to understand, DK's style is to survive street fights with quickness and power all-together. There are no rounds in street fights and self-defense. You don't tell an attacker/ criminal/ bully to "wait, wait, we get our 2-minutes in between rounds." I respect DK's style and methods because it's realistic for most men in general and women as well. His style is applicable to streets with an average takedown, knockdown and ass beating of maybe even 5 minutes or so.

And just like that, DK Yoo destroyed his carefully curated legacy. The man has phenomenal jabs, and breaks down movement really well and has great speed. But here it proves how little all of that can mean in a real fight. The only way to be a good fighter, is to fight. Skill is climbing the mountain. Experience is what takes you to the top. Brads side, fractured shoulder from car crash 6 weeks ago. Also the promoters asked Brad not to hurt DK Yoo and to make it last longer than one round. 7 days of training after years out of training. Unfit really, his gloves were changed to basically sparring gloves which was unexpected as they didn't know that was going to happen so, brads gloves were like pillows. Then the ref was bias and a few judges and on the side of dk yoo. It's absolutely nuts. Oh and Brad isn't a boxer so, if it was MMA DK Yoo would done for. That's why DK Yoo messaged Brad for this fight at last minute. Dk yoo tried to played it into his hands. It just didn't go well for DK Yoo, we all knew that.

Like Bruce said, "You have to train, you have to keep your reflexes, so that when you want it, its there. When you want to move, you are moving." DK's phenomenally fast punches were no where to be seen as he had no idea what his comfortable range for a punch without giving a tell was. These are things that develop over regular sparring sessions where your opponent is really allowed to hurt you so that you learn to stay focused on the fundamentals despite the fear of being hurt. I almost get the feeling that the possibility of making a mistake and getting knocked out immediately hit him right from the beginning just by looking at bradley's arms and he literally went into a panic survival mode. He was constantly looking to see if Bradley would open up his defence when punching so that he could try and counter but bradley, despite his size was pretty fast and knew what his comfort zone was. He was able to read each incoming punch from DK like an open book. Aside from that boxing needs an insane amount of stamina and you need to be in the habit of running at least 30 miles a day or an equivalent cardio to be able to sustain throwing 6 rounds of hard punches and DK certainly didn't have that.

Good commentary dude. DK Yoo is a prime example of why training drills and no pressure testing even a light amount will not properly teach you to fight. Its like trying to learn how to swim but you do breast stroke while laying on sand, while your form may look good there are tons of variables that you miss from the equation. Even if he done an mma or kickboxing rules he probably wouldve looked like an amature in them too because the majority of his footwork, balance, strikes and head movement all are visably bad. On top of that the only time he isnt trying to move away from bradley he is either tbrowing wild punches or trying to clinch which he is also doing terribly at. I respect bradley for not being too hard him immediately. But it would be more entertaining if he went for a knock out in the last round to give people an eye opener about how you train. Especially when you make bold claims about fighting everyone Id suggest watching Ramsey Dewey's review of this because he explains exactly why this whole fight was rigged.

He could have killed this clown, yet he chose not to. Even the so called "master" guy who was destroyed by Xu had performed better than this, at least he showed some fighting skills, Xu was just much better, stronger and more experienced. But this guy here is good for nothing, I really cant believe he has students and fans and his own fighting style, it's a joke to even think about it. He strikes like a fly and cant defend himself in any way. There are real fighters out there who are actually using Kung Fu and doing very good, I don't understand why we have to put up with clowns who just make fool of themselves.

When DK started to show demonstrations in social media, it was obvious that he imitates Bruce Lee. I knew that he would not do well in a freestyle fight. Demonstration is cinematic and your partners might not hit back. This is why I've always encouraged many, check first the credentials and experience of an instructor before learning from him or her. Do not learn from someone just because of their lineage or demonstration skills.

I absolutely agree with every comment made. That said, any fight that has restrictions in place already limits a fighter. While I don’t think DK is a fighter, but merely a martial artist (and there IS a difference), limiting factors automatically make for an unrealistic way of gauging how well someone can actually fight…EXCEPT within the confines of a given match…but not a street fight. As an aside, I’ve watched some of DK’s videos, and just like many other martial arts, when applied to an actual street fight (where a person doesn’t get the setups they would get in a dojo), soooo many of the techniques seen in videos simply wouldn’t work in an actual fight. To restate, being an awesome martial artist does not make someone an awesome fighter.

And Jay Nguyen.. I love your commentary. You are fairly unbiased and talk about it from a neutral perspective which I like and think is essential if you're going to give an accurate account of any fight. I think on the inside you were rooting for DK to win though. Which makes me appreciate your conclusion at the end even more. You gave voice to the respect and humility Bradley showed DK even in the face of an opponent who was clearly trying to avoid actively fighting nearly altogether. I am a total pacifist and against violence but I must admit there's a certain amount of satisfaction watching someone with a huge ego getting a lesson to think twice before telling everyone you're the world's greatest.

But I'm going to say the same thing. What happened to Bruce Lee. He was good during demonstrations but nobody ever really saw him fight. And the people who claim they did were his very best friends and they were very few. I was a bouncer for 16 years. I've trained martial arts for 38 and I have been teaching for 27. Anybody can look good in a demonstration but it's easy to see if they have no actual fighting skill and that's what happened

I get why Bruce Lee could look as fake as DK because he didn't actually fight, but when you look into Bruce Lee and the people he helped improve, you will realise the transformations they went though in tournaments and therefore how legit Bruce Lee was. The thing is it's just not possible to bullshit in the fight game as we've seen in this video, so there's no way Bruce Lee could bullshit his way to being thought of as number 1 by almost every other professional in the fight game. There's just way too many people that would have to be willing to go along with bullshit without getting anything from it.

Linda, Bruce's wife remembered the fight with Wong Jack Man to have been very messy overall. Bruce was very disappointed with his performance, physical condition and the time it took to take out his opponent. This was pretty early in his life. It was at that time he decided to train more physically and move away from traditional MA. Based on his physical traits it looks to me that he was a very hard worker, and I sort of assume that his style was a lot more aggressive than what we've seen here. That doesn't necessarily mean he would have been a champion, but I could imagine he was a lot more devoted to the truth.

@@SonsOfDeForest that’s true but a bunch of ppl have backed Bruce Lee up of being able to fight. Like I said, I saw what my dad could do when I was a kid and my dad always made it a point that he was no wear near the level of guys within Bruce Lee’s inner circle. Which makes sense because he was basically doing mma when most ppl were sticking to classical training or just sticking to a particular style. they would spar with weapons, meet up in street clothes sometimes to get use to fighting in normal clothes, would simulate 2 on 1 and 3 on 1. Would spar with the kendo gloves. They were incorporating boxing equipment and used gear from other sports so could do hard contact sparring without risking getting hurt. if read his notes he was fanatically studying and training. But are self defense techniques/systems, which don't really work in a fight-like situation against someone out to hurt you, actually useful? I mean, it's super dangerous to believe we can defend ourselves without having been pressure tested under "fight-like" conditions as it can give a false sense of security - and then when shit actually hits the fan and we need to defend ourselves, we might be over confident in our ability to do so and get absolutely mauled or even murdered as a result. But looks like Bradley train and realized things that he are used to do and train to do and wrestle and throw people down and have a real fight and he has to tame himself that's a good transition of himself and not be disrespectful by using some martial arts fighting styles.. The weight difference is pretty huge, even if he was a good boxer it would be hard to overcome, so I’ll cut him some slack on that. But his condition is pretty weak, he gassed out way faster and has no pressure of his own. You can’t just do light sparring and expect that to work in the ring. Traditional martial arts can work If you test it full contact, the art would evolve once you actually apply it and see what works and what doesn’t. Judo and muaythai were traditional martial arts that evolved through real world application.

@@gabrielrae7647 I don’t think drunken kungfu works very well, there’s probably useful parts but probably a lot of fluff that was added in due to the lack of full contact training. If you’re strong enough you could make anything work but there are certain ways of movement that are just more efficient. Your kungfu can be a basis but don’t let the katas trap you if you discover a better way of doing things.

@@boshirahmed there are some traditional martial arts that went through evolution through the mma process. There still others that haven’t, I think it’s possible to repeat the same process with other traditional martial arts. To close yourself from further discovery and experimentation is anti martial spirit.

Fun Fact 1. DK Yoo said he would prove his martial arts' strength, but attempted a boxing match that had nothing to do with it. (Even his opponent is not a boxer, but a UFC player.) 2. He tried not to become a KO throughout the game. Without attempting to attack, only clinches were loaded. 3. He once said in a past interview, "If UFC makes the game good conditions, I can beat corner McGregor."
