Yeah DL is a very high IQ individual. You should check out his books that he's written. I've been a fan of his for many years. It appears the last 5 years or so he's increased his vocabulary. I respect how he's improved himself, he was always smart, but really knows how to put his words together now.

@SexySaSueMi that's simply untrue. I don't need to look the words up because I know them and on the RARE occasions I've heard him misspeak, he immediately corrects himself. Furthermore, level of education and intellect are not correlated . Someone with an 8th grade education can be a genius and someone with a PhD can be very average. More importantly, I don't understand why you feel the need to try to belittle him.

He almost died! Take that into consideration. He was doing shows with no mask and wasn't trippin'. But! When he kept passing out and then almost left here he took the jab. I don't recall him saying that he was for or against the jab before he got hit with COVID like he did. He was ready to get back to making money and it almost cost him his life! It affected his kids and co-workers too. So where does this "promoting for daddy" come from?

I worked with and was exposed to all kinds of deadly diseases Saw many die and many survived with medicine and vaccines. I was required as an employee to take many vaccines. I did and never had a major problem with any. I had all the latest vaccines and had no problem with any. Now, I do understand why many with major health issues, chose not to have vaccines. One amazing thing to me is that Willie D brought up Birdland West. A jazz club that was owned by Al Williams in Long Beach, CA. I'll date myself a bit, but I was in high school when I worked there on the weekends in 1988. On occasion, I was able to work Tuesday for comedy night where DL was the host. While I agree with y'all it was unprofessional, what would you do if someone publicly claimed it was your fault your daughter was graped? Nobody innocent in all this mess. DL still promoting the very thing he claims to be against "coonery" and Monique still acting like her fight was about all Black women while violating a Black teenage girl and then glossing over it in her interview. These weren't Cosby accusations 30 years later, these were reported assaults with grape kits we're talking about. Do have any idea how evil you have to be to say that about a child- when you yourself as a child were graped?? If it's one thing I've learned from these two interviews it's that DL still answers to someone and Monique won an Oscar for depicting her real life mom.

Quick question. So remember when she said what she said about his Black daughter being SA'ed? So how was her interview conveniently about Black women and name dropping Taraji? Also how can someone say that if they themselves are a victim of childhood SA? Don't get me wrong I'm on nobody "side" I don't believe either care about you or I. My concern is the lack of discernment overall of our people. If you listen closely to her interview Monique tells you her persona/acting is just that, a facade and that she's a different person off camera. In the beginning she talks about how important family is and how it's important to trust and heal, by the end of the interview you find that she's estranged from most of her family including her adult son. (A couple of them betrayed her on live television for money), She also goes heavy into Oprah being fake, but also how much she loves and respects Oprah and still looks up to her. I hate to say it but Monique's entire interview reads like a textbook DSM personality disorder, which likely started from her childhood SA. She even tells you she wanted to be someone else. She was touched by an uncle and calls her husband daddy and he calls her momma. Last year in her comedy special on Netflix she shared her private conversation with her already husband that she was gay. She married him before telling him this. Later in the interview she says that she's known him since they were 14 and he was a great guy even in her previous marriage, but in the beginning she claims God brought him and she was ready while in the same interview she says she was tired of random hookups and this dude was at her first wedding. Mental illness does not discount what she said about Hollywood nor does it make the paygap irrelevant. But it does signify that there is a level of manipulation in her words and a level of obfuscation that was non existent in Katt's interview. You gotta remember her entire comedy career centered around shaming skinny Black women. Now there's a Black obesity epidemic and Black folks are 50-70% more likely to die of heart disease than anyone else and she's skinny now works out etc and because she has no weight joke material her Netflix special was terrible. We need to listen to what people say, critically, but more importantly watch what they do. We listened to over an hour of a multimillionaire saying how terrible Hollywood is but kept going to these fruitless meetings when she had the money to hire her own people. Direct her own movie with Taraji, leverage Tyler's inability to pay cash upfront for full access to his Atlanta lot and crews. How she don't have a TV show but her manager and husband is a TV show producer? In a age where KZfaq comedians have full series dropping like network TV shows with a following. How he not an approved Amazon Prime publisher, but I am? If I shoot a documentary or cartoon I can have it on Amazon Prime within a week. It's 2024 make it make sense. Learn how to discern when you're being manipulated. All these folks are actors. Some of them don't even know they're acting when the camera is off or even that they're sleeping next to one...

I always respected DL for being transparent. I wish he and Monique could find a way to fix it. My only gripe. DL is a stand-up act and always gives us something to think about! I'm a healthcare worker, and he's right. Millions of people died of covid. I work with doctors, and they too spoke on why people are so happy with a lie instead of the truth. People have a choice. The ones who died didn't. I had to decide to work because my profession is working with the sick or not working to keep my family healthy. Coworkers were sick, many quit, and never returned. I don't think people understand it, and shameful politics and people who have no experience in healthcare interfered with it. The entertainment industry is in a sad state. I want music, concerts, and entertainment. I don't need to meet these artists. I pay my money, i expect a show. I stream music, purchase, I want no skips, i go to a comedy show and i want to laugh. All these people sitting around watching their people being mistreated, abused, and all this other mess is disgusting. I can't believe Trump is even in the constitution....Another great interview 👏👏

I noticed he said his granddaughter calls him “HIM.” It’s that what Bernie Mac said about his sister’s baby called him. Remember the joke on Kings of Comedy- Bernie Mac said the baby told his wife “Him down stairs!” Bernie Mac response was “Who TF is HIM” as if he doesn’t have a name. Great interview, but I’m team Katt and Monique!!!

Its a Blessing when u r able to grow & learn. There were so many things I was naive about as a youngster. When I look back, I thank the universe I made it thru & had the common sense 2 realize I got lucky. Knowledge is everything, being able 2 experience life, gain wisdom & havin common sense goes a long way. Still workin on me everyday but I like myself a lot better today than yesterday.

He needed to speak up about Monique and be concise because she has been “running amuck” for the last few years dragging everybody for not stroking her ego! I was in the audience at the Fox Theater in Detroit when she got her simple a$$ on stage and did everything BUT TELL JOKES!!! Monique is the common denominator from the lowest to the highest ends of the entertainment industry. It’s not by coincidence that she has a beef with a f*cking PA from Precious all the way to Oprah, and everything in between. This man spoke up about the Detroit contract incident, but he didn’t “go off”. She mentioned his daughter being raped and that was “the straw the broke the camel’s back”. What kind of woman even thinks of doing such a thing to another woman, let alone, a child? Monique is trash and she’s washed up! That’s why she rode Katt Williams’ coattails to Club Shay Shay; the block was already hot and she could get her face seen while everybody was already watching.

It has nothing to do with self hate, some black people feel that Deon's interest in coaching is to promote himselfin the guise of helping his son. Also, he has always kept his mouth shut on social issues, but expect black support despite of it.
