Black men, never allow your women to answer the door when bad news is knocking. - DL Hughley
@AryehAmitz
@AryehAmitz 5 жыл бұрын
Thats bullshit. I think when bad news is knocking perhaps that is something best dealt with by both people. Men do not exist to be shields. And women do not exist to be victims of circumstance. I think we have to think of ourselves as equals. This whole idea of forcing men and women to play certain roles is really a crock of shit. If a woman wants a man to just be her bulletproof vest then she's going to be waiting a long ass time to find someone who wants to live that way. I think protection is a reciprocal thing. It's something you share and do for each other. That whole statement is just really naive and idealistic. It's not how real relationships work.
@kimmyd6832
@kimmyd6832 5 жыл бұрын
J K That is the way relationships work in many other nationalities. I have seen it. He is simply saying that black women have grown so accustomed to taking care of and protecting ourselves that even when a man is around we still play the man role. Most of us don’t know how to let a man take care of us because we have never experienced it. I don’t think that he is saying that women are less than men, he is just saying that too many black men are failing to step up.

I love this interview. We have to encourage our young people to have the depth that we may not have had when we were young. I think it is important to note that whether young boys or young girls, both want to feel attractive but more often than not the wrong things are valued on both sides.

KpitGangsta Again! We ALL need to recondition our way of thinking! I get it! We as women have to hold ourselves accountable as well and start carrying ourselves like Queens, and men need to appreciate the value that a woman adds to his life; not multiple women but ONE! Men want women to submit to their leadership but they aren’t willing to work for our submission! Which is why I hear so many women say I don’t need a man! Which is why I believe in gender roles and I hate when women try to compete with men and when men try to compete with women! We aren’t equal! Women where created for MAN to influence his vision/dreams support him overflow him with love, respect, submission and peace! While Men where created to provide for, surrender to, cultivate lead his women to Christ and growth while overflowing her with love, respect, peace and happiness and until we all start to see the values in OURSELVES AS WELL AS OTHERS! We’re going to always be stuck and stagnant in the black community! I could give a damn about any other community but I want our community to do better and be better!

Tanisha Hatchet Don't worry. There is a generation of BLACK men ready and willing to lead. What we need from our sistas is for them to support us. Stop trying to tag along with this white woman feminism (or multiculturalism, or LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ) and please don't take our attempts at leadership as us trying to hold your ambitions down. If we have a prayer of making it in this world, it will be together. Forget a glass ceiling. If the black man rises to the level of being your provider and protector, the stars won't be high enough to hold down the black woman. B1!

I think it would be dope AF if BF club started interviewing like 2 random celebs during the same segment. That could create some cool and maybe awkward moments but overall it would probably expand our dialogues maybe a tad bit further than y'all BFC already does anyway! Like imagine Micheal Dyson and D.L chopping it up. Or either one of them up there with Cornell West or maybe Umar Johnson. That shit would/could be wild/productive
