Thanks Mark, glad you are enjoying it! For those interested the Premium Cable & Basic Cable are based upon the Videonics Thumbs Up home editing unit from the early 90s. It was also licensed by Radio Shack as the Home Video Producer. The Thumbs Up was a low-cost (189-300USD) consumer grade tool for crude linear video editing (VCR deck to deck). I bypass it's original functionality, thus eliminating the OSD, and make use of the video processing circuitry. I also saw off the original controls and attach a custom faceplate (it all barely fits). A foundational value of my practice is creative re-use, prolonging the inevitable trip to the e-dump and giving old tech a second life... the Thumbs Up was an extremely common piece of electronics here in the states with no real modern purpose to speak of. Through their creative re-use over the years we've kept over five hundred of these things from heading to the dump. Glad to see you found the subcarrier rainbow zone Mark!

I can see this being handy for simulating a poor tv/VCR signal in an on set TV/theater productions. The BPMC site isn't loading for me at all at the moment, I had to use google cache to view it.

I would recommend one of BPMCs devices if you can. Links to his website are in the video description. If you want to try something yourself just google for glitch art video and you should be able to find groups of enthusiasts doing it who should be able to help.

@@LocalForecast I checked, it's some copyright/license free music, it came with Sony Movie Studio that i bought a long time ago. It's just called 'Chillax'.

There is a female on Flickr who does Glitch art, her name escapes me at the minute, if you have a Flickr account you might be able to search for her, what about using a ring modulator to mess up the audio.
