Not sure where you got that from Apple?! The reason why his name is Midge is because there were two Jim's in the band so they swapped Jim round to create Mij. Didn't look right on paper so they spelt it differently to become Midge. Not sure where you get your info regarding the fact that Jim McGinlay hated Midge Ure?!

His name was derived from his actual name "Jim". Backwards "Jim" is "Mij". Just alter the spelling and hey presto your remark is that of a buffoon...
