I'm almost done with U1-3, and this is going to be my next one. I'm going to have the party catch wind of the trouble in Orlane while they're still in Saltmarsh. In Greyhawk, Saltmarsh is not too far south of Orlane, so they'll get some nice wilderness encounters on the way up there. Thanks for the video!

I'm prepping it as a lead in to the Temple of Elemental Evil. It's a recruitment effort of the Water Temple. Going to try and give Orlane a " The Wicker Man " kind of vibe.

Excellent adaptation! Clever twist! Any ideas for the other elements? Just curious.

@@sequoyahwright Nope. But I am retooling the TOEE evil again into demon factions as opposed to elemental factions. The elemental aspect always seemed a little bolted on to me and most of that beautiful imagery still works if you choose the right demon patron for that faction.

@@dane3038 Outstanding. That seems way more versatile and makes a lot more sense to me too. Always had trouble trying to iron out the wrinkles with the elemental aspect of all that. Excellent solution!

Goddess named Merikka, dungeon located in a place called the Rushmoores, and a handful of other U.S. references.

I really liked this adventure, I ran it recently for 2 groups using 5e. It was the kick off for a campaign for one group and the naga someday will come for its revenge. There are a lot of nice modern maps online for Orlean as well. I used a hand sign when I spoke as a cultists to the PCs took them a bit to catch on. It has a call of Cthulhu feel to it.

I incorporated this adventure into my Isle of Dread adventure for HackMaster5E. Worked out great.

I'm thinking I'm going to start doing a video series on possible mods for modules, and utilizing this one with the old Cthulhu Mythos would be great. Subbing out Troglodytes for Deep Ones or some such.

LOL Me Too , sort of had the cultists nodding their heads and putting two fingers (like fangs ) to their foreheads as they did so when they spoke with strangers, like the party . And tried to pull it off as respectful sort of a nod " Sorry Sor." Once the cultists figured it out that the party were outsiders they stopped. Love this mystery moduile. We were always successful with this one while always suffered abject failures with the Assassin's Knot. I generally have a party that has already gone on an adventure so they are slightly higher in level and have a couple magic items when they show up and Orlane. I believe they were coming here to pick up an NPC from their earlier adventure who has suddenly gone missing by the time they arrive.

This video didn't contain any of your useful DM notes like from B5. Instead, you just summarized the plot. But I already know the plot! I come here for your unique tips on tweaking the adventure.

I think the initial Role play can take at least four hours. The dungeon's themselves are probably at least another four hours. If your party is super careful the role play can go on and on.
