It’s THIS kind of information I wish I’d gotten from all the beauty mags I read in my teens and 20s, instead of just what the latest fashion was, or what mascara some celebrity wore. If there’s a silver lining for the COVID pandemic for me it’s that I have learned SO MUCH from influencers like YOU, Dr. Anil Rajani, et al. I can’t thank you enough for all the work and effort you put into bringing the right information to people like myself who NEED this info but otherwise might never learn it. Also, big thank you to Dr. Yarosh for sharing his knowledge with us, and for explaining it in a way that left me feeling informed instead of lost in the science-ese that often leaves me scratching my head and wishing I’d studied more Latin. Thanks, again, for bringing this to your subscribers. You’re the best!

Stellar info as usual Penn & Dr Yarosh is wonderful at translating the science to layman’s terms without being patronising. The labelling is a potential minefield; I’m in the UK & have been using the Spanish Sesderma Repaskin range but even products within that vary between explicitly saying they contain photolyase & endonuclease or just DNA repair enzymes!

This was so informative, thank you so much for this. I bought the Le Mieux EGF-DNA and the TGFB Booster and really had no idea when to use them. That helped so much, I also have the Droplet and I'm using the Collagin in the mornings and 2 times a week the Retinol. Thank-you for the much needed information. I was just about to reorder the Youth Recovery and this saved me over 50 dollars on two. I started using it after your recommendation a couple of months ago and actually see a difference in the frequency of my pre-cancers and slightly diminished brown spots. I am 75 and growing up in socal in the 60's tan was in and I was allergic to all the sunscreens any ways so I have major photo damage and have had my share of skin cancers. Thanks again this was so informative.

This was so so good. Thank you so much for arranging this interview. My husband has had many sun caners removed from his body, we live in Brisbane Australia and when we were children in the 60's and 70's he spent many hours at the beach. Could you please ask Dr Yarosh whether he needs to apply the DNA repair serum to his entire body ie arms torso etc where the skin cancers have been removed or does the application of the DNA repair serums to the face enough to get them into the body and then they seek out the damaged cells. This was so interesting, Thank You Penny! Unfortunately I am 61 and didn't start being serious about my skincare until a couple of years ago because I was bed ridden and eating up KZfaq videos, thanks Covid. The only benefit. I did use sunscreen on my face early on and some products here and there. Being income challenged, I thought I could not afford these things. So pissed it took so long for me to discover K Beauty, Ordinary, Etc., Being very scientific minded, I could have done wonders with the knowledge I have now. Trying to love my wrinkles but want recommendations of products with DNA repair factors. And... you look super cute in those glasses! 🧡

What ARE the actual products we can rely on that have the authentic DNA repair enzymes in them? This is the first I've heard about enzyme DNA repair...no one else ( YT influencers) seem to be talking about this...even YT Derms. Also, the way Dr. Yarosh spoke about injure/repair, injure/repair of the skin, with the DNA trying to recover the original health of the skin, but eventually losing ground (i.e., unable to return to optimal skin health) - this has me thinking we are fooling ourselves with thinking that microneedling is a process that helps the skin in the long run. It may appear to help the skin look better in the short term, but (per what Dr. Y said about the (injure/repair) process - how can we justify microneedling as being good for skin health, in the long run?

You are ahead of the curve! I've asked my own PS and one on YT about DNA repair enzymes. They both didn't support it at all. Seems they don't have info on the latest science. Thank you for the education.

Excellent interview! I wish I could have inserted a diet-related question. Id love to know if there is any synergistic effect between DNA repair enzymes and autophagy (that occurs with fasting).
