That pega 27 sounds warmer than the Sm 57 but the question is : what sound do you want to achieve? All good mics…😊

I would've rather heard a couple seconds of the SAME notes on each mic separately, instead of the player continuously playing. That way, there wouldn't be slight differences in playing over time.

Short answer: No Long answer: Seems like you could make up for tonal differences with EQ and some slight effects tweaking.

The experiment is flawed , the mics will pickup reflections differently as they are all facing differently.

I mean it sounds best there’s even well known/expert audio engineers that would use a 57 in certain recording situations

@@yourpbtv It's hype and people without ears think it sounds best. Band Waggoners love to regurgitate things like "most versatile mic" and "if I could only pick one mic" because they heard a famous engineer say it a few years ago. Then, you have you gimmick channels that have a video recording everything with a 57. But, you only ever really see and hear the 57 on snare and electric guitars in a professional scenario. It's hype and that's all. The 58 is far more versatile because you have three mics in one. The 57 has a ridiculously sharp high-end and little else. The 58 has the perfect frequency response but people can't be bothered to use mic placement as eq. But yeah, it sounds best.
