Our attention is the most valuable thing we have to offer to ourselves and to others. Companies know this and it is being extracted from us just like fossil fuels are being extracted from the earth for the carbon economy. Understanding the power of attention is important for creating a world that supports thriving of all life, rather than allowing our attention to be manipulated, exploited and monetized. A conscious attention economy is defined by respect and reciprocity, where all stakeholders benefit and business models are generative rather than extractive. Dr Patricia Klauer is an entrepreneur, information architect, consciousness leader and chiropractor. With vast experience in large-scale information architecture, pioneering new technologies with Fortune 100 companies, financial institutions, government agencies, and academic institutions. She is currently focused on individual and organizational transformation to influence culture through the art of 'conscious attention' that fosters awareness, reciprocity, and collaboration. Dr. Klauer currently serves as board member for Impact Hub Global, on the leadership team for Future Capital and leads the Conscious Attention Economy Working Group that released ‘The Universal Principles of the Conscious Attention Economy’ in collaboration with the United Nations.
