Hey loves,
This week, I review three audiobooks I've listened to recently and discuss where I'm at with audiobooks and why I sometimes struggle with them. I also get really excited about Margaret Atwood (because obviously.)
Have any of you read or listened to these or do you plan on picking them up? I would love to hear from you down below.
All my love and see you next week!

Hag Seed!! Yes, yes, yes! Fantastic recommendation! Not often can audio books be even better than the book, but I do think this was the case with the fantastic narration by RH Thomson. Thank you for the recommendation!

Vix!! I wish I could attend a lecture that you give. I would be on the front row for sure. I wrote down 'Hag seed ' this time. In my case I have to admit that I love audiobooks but, in my country I can only get it from Audible (which is great but I can't afford the membership and the book price...and to be fair, a prefer to have a physical copy with me). I love audiobooks, specially full cast classics because, as a non-native speaker, reading classics is great but it can be also tiring and confusing and, with the voices, specially if they are actors, you can understand easily what it´s going on and you can read the physical books while listening so you learn how to pronounce it. Great video, my friend!

I have been on the fence about Ali Smith - Autumn. I think you have swayed me. I clearly need to get Girls Will Be Girls - it sounds fantastic. Thanks for the new video - makes me happy to hear from you.

Hag-seed now added to my ever-growing TBR pile, woot. I read Jeanette Winterson's "The Gap Of Time" at the beginning of this year and really quite enjoyed it! I haven't ventured into the world of Ali Smith yet, but do own How To Be Both - admittedly I've been kind of intimidated to dive in. Drink alcohol, read books and eat food sounds like a lovely life motto. ;) Have a lovely (and safe!) trip back home!

Never read Ali Smith but your talk made me want to check her out - found the Desert Island Discs episode on the web and you're right, she talks mile a minute - she almost sounds like she's on fast forward.

I don't know any full-cast audiobooks to recommend, but, in case you don't know them, the recent BBC radio adaptations of Neil Gaiman's 'Neverwhere' and 'Stardust' and of Gaiman and Pratchett's 'Good Omens' (with full casts are excellent). And if you haven't read 'Stardust', I highly recommend it: on every rereading I am amazed at how it is so nearly a word-perfect adult fairy-tale.

And the greatest country in the world is? Personally I vote for Canada, because it has an influential mix of UK, France & USA without being too much like any of them. Somehow you just might like it here too if you ever visit. UK and US run right and Canada and France run mild left. The times they are a changin'. :-)

+TimeAndChance Canada does seem pretty nice! I'm thinking my home city of Paris is looking pretty tempting too. ;)
