Keanu was asked recently what movie he would like to do a sequel, and he said Constantine... so, yes, it is an amazing movie.

I'm shocked by how many KZfaqrs don't get that stealing the car and beating up John (which led to killing Daisy) isn't just about the car for Iosef. For Iosef, it's about "respect," and I put that in quotes because what it's really about is Iosef's insecurity. He's a spoiled weakling and a coward and lives in fear of having to admit it. When John stood up to him by refusing his offer and showed him up by getting the last word and made him look foolish for assuming John wouldn't understand Russian, Iosef lost face in front of his goons, so he felt the need to re-assert his dominance and retake his "dignity" by punishing John. That's like Psychology of Bullies 101.

I love the symbolism of John destroying the foundation of his new life, the basement floor, to re-enter his old life, the guns and coins. Poetry.

"Francis" (The Red Circle Bouncer) was played by Wrestling Superstar Kevin Nash. Keanu did 90% of his own Stunts and there's KZfaq videos of his Firearm/Combat training that will blow your mind!

we've seen a lot of james bonds, rambos and john mcclanes but john wick reinvented the action genre where the protagonist is much of a force than the villain.

If you look really closely at the paperwork that was on the pitbull's cage it said that it was to put down, so John saved the dog's life. And when you see John walking off with the pitbull, he's walking it past the same spot where his wife collapsed before she was taken to the hospital.

You are right that the actor who played the concierge at the hotel passed away. His name was lance Reddick and he did voice acting as well as on screen characters. He voiced commander zavala in the destiny franchise. When he passed away, the players spent days visiting his in game character to play tribute because he also played the game and interacted with some of them. Rip lance. Ps. The actor who played viggo(the russian boss) also passed away recently but i cant remember his name irl

I see that people were talking about Francis telling John how many men were inside the club, but this is how he did it. When John asks how much weight Francis lost, Francis actually says in Russian 27 kgs. Twenty-seven kilograms is roughly 60 lbs. when converted from metric, and there are 27 guards in the club. I have heard however that they mistranslated the number 27 in Russian and he accidentally said 20 kgs. but it was supposed to be 27.

constantine is very good, it has a ton of great performances in it. i highly recommend it.

A little fun fact: The guy who was tasked with “hitting and killing Daisy” in the shot was actually a huge dog lover. The day they shot that scene, he was visibly upset on set the whole day and he walked around holding and petting the dog that played Daisy pretty much the whole day. I’ve always found that to be an interesting fact about someone who was tasked to kill the dog.

Constatine did alright it's amazing Visuals had a great deal in it being worth to watch to give the viewer a peek into world of The Hellraiser Comic's character John Constatine...what was the downside of it all towards fans of the comics is how Constatine in the film was not played by a British actor and little bit of some other factors...but beside all of that like i said before it is still a Movie worth to watch

When talking to Francis he told John how many men there are in the building. Also look back and the fathers substance use as the movie goes on.

Constatine didn't do well at the box office but its one of those films that has really gained a lot of appreciation over time. Kind of like Dune, Mad Max etc.

Viggo did give up his son to save himself, but what were his options? He knew that even if he didn't tell John where Iosef was, John would find out eventually anyway, so he might as well keep himself alive since nothing could save Iosef.

Head shots are around 70, counting 2nd/3rd head shots in the same head, closer to 100. & John helped Vigo build his empire, Vego is well aware of what John is going to do. Give up his son? What are his options. Send his son to the other side of the world to a hut w/out electricity 'maybe'. Or just call John & tell him he's here, come pick him up. Because he already 'knows' it's over. It's when, not if.

Between takes the actor that "killed" the dog was so upset about scaring the puppy that he would pick it up and cuddle with it. The dog's trainer would rename the puppy "Wick" after the movie's success.

Someone has prob suggested this but the Jason Bourne rabbit hole is a pretty good one to explore. Unless u’ve already seen them.

I used to have a trained ridgeback pitbull mix that got stabbed trying to save me & my housemate in a home invasion. 4 on 2 with her help we messed them up, but I got arrested for leaving the scene to take her to a vet. Never slept on my bed though she was far too professional haha

yes, constantine is GOOD..... not very true to the comics, but good nonetheless... edit: and just in case nobody mentioned it by now, the dog, that John took from the shelter, had a note on the cage, marking it to be put down... so john´s last act of the movie, he saved a life....

If you like Willem Dafoe, check out the movie Boondock Saints. One of his absolute best in my opinion. They stole his car and killed his dog to teach him a lesson. He denied them what they wanted and people like that are not used to being told no. There are people in the world that would do far worse for far less where a lack of respect is in question.

In 2015 at the Scottsdale Auction, an original Boss 429 sold for $550,000.00. Today the same car would fetch considerably more. So when it was stolen, by Viggo Tarasov, that was a half million dollar heist, worthy of retribution besides the Daisy (dog) thing which is f-ed up.

Constantine is... Silly fun. Not terribly faithful to the source material (but at the time no comic book movie was) and as long as you don't think too hard about it, it's a fun ride.

I really suggest that you watch the next movie and complete the entire series before to much time passes.

I highly recommend the modern frontier trilogy written by Taylor Sheridan. Incredibly powerful movies that are extremely underrated here on KZfaq. They consist of sicario, hell or high water, and wind river. The first one is pretty popular as it was directed by Dennis Villenueve, but the other two only have a couple reactions.

IMNSHO, a reaction channel that never watches Casablanca is like an a cappella group that never sings Lion Sleeps. That aside... This entire franchise is action movie gold, sequels included. The mirror maze sequence in Chapter 2 gives Enter the Dragon a run for its money, and bonus points for putting old-school Commodore computers on celluloid in the 21st century.

An ancient order called Assa-sins used to accept only gold as payment (weight in gold) for their services such as espionage, murder, or counterintelligence. It adds to the believability of the movie since there is precedence in real history. Some even argue that this is the origin of the Beggars Guild in China's past as well as the Ninja of Japan. If I may add a personal note, people who do work in military, intelligence and kill or capture squads must keep their feelings firewalled so they don't get in the way of what must be done. I am not sure why but when you cried at the home invasion scene, I found it almost impossible to not feel your sadness and I found that rare and unique. I believe those in your live feel blessed that you are in it with them.
